Lord Have MERCY...What a Week!
Hey EVERYONE!
I'm pre-posting this card as I'm hoping that I'll be thick in the throws of meet and greets, new wholesale accounts, and TONS of fun at CHA while you read this!
It's definitely making for a FUN and CRAZY week and I hope to post some pics soon if I haven't by now...but even with all the craziness, it's time for MERCY'S TUESDAY SKETCH CHALLENGE and so I'm back to bring you MTSC58:
GREAT sketch, right?? Then again, Mercy's always are!! I used the new UNITY set that I also showed here on my blog yesterday called "Could I be Any CUTER?", a new CHA release and it's DEFINITELY CUTE! Of course I paired it with a few of my favorite things...Prism Cardstock, a SUPER awesome Cosmo Cricket MiniDeck (Early Bird), and some FUN ribbon...what could be BETTER?
Be sure to check out the rest of Mercy's muses as they have some wonderful creations for you this week, too:
See you soon! I will NOT be playing the Diedrich Dare tomorrow but PLEASE check out the DARE BLOG to see the list of active participants because there is an AWESOME inspiration challenge that I had really hoped to play but just didn't have time this past week!
See you back on THURSDAY with a TGF Preview, some more UNITY, and CHA wrap up!!! Ahhhh, the FUN!!!!
xoxo,
Jess :)

....and let the CRAZY begin....
OMG!!!
By the time you read this, I will be on a plane to Anaheim for WINTER CHA!!! I am FREAKING, FREAKING the heck out and I cannot WAIT! I can't believe that a few whirlwind short months of planning has all led up to this....and I cannot WAIT to go as an employee, DT Member, and FRIEND of the AMAZING company THE GREETING FARM! I am SO, SO proud of Marie and cannot WAIT to proudly represent TGF and also get some quality time in with my UNITY peeps!
WHAT....a whirlwind!!!!
Today's gonna be a CRAZY one...and what better way to kick it off than with a CRAZY 4 CHALLENGES post! This week's C4C is to create a PINK card.
NO PROBLEM. MOST of you know I'm pinkgirl76 on SCS...and I have QUITE the thing for PINK!!!
I used RUBY, one of The Greeting Farm's new Wild Sprouts for this card and turned her necklace into a CHA badge, oh yes I DID! This card is for Marie, to congratulate her on her first (and mine, too!) CHA and for all the hard work and dedication she has put into her business.
Be sure to check out the rest of the CRAZIES this week, too as they never disappoint with their creations:
YIPEE!!!! I'm outta here! See you back here Monday with a UNITY post and I will post pics as I can! HUGS and thank you to ALL of you for such wonderful words of SUPPORT!

Bring on the SUN!!!!
Hey everyone!
There's another Farm Fresh Friday challenge going on over at The Greeting Farm's BLOG and this week it's a SUNNY CHA Send-off for Marie and I....only we REALLY need the SUN part! OMG-L.A. is a monsoon apparently...yikes!
Anyway, we've all made summery sunshiney cards and I'd love for you to play along! Just head over to the TGF Blog for all the details.
My card today uses the super cute Chibi Flower by one of our awesome new TGF artists, Jessica Hymas! This was a digi given away during one of the last few weeks on the blog. It's not available currently in the TGF Store, but hey, never say never right? I also used some TGF Sunny Glen paper because it matched the colors so great and well....because it has the word "SUNNY" in the name, LOL!
Be sure to check out our WONDERFUL TGF DT and see what they're cookin Fresh from the Farm:
Well, I'm off-I gotta stamp, pack....stamp...pack....GAHHHH if only tomorrow could contain a few extra hours, right? BE SURE TO SCROLL DOWN for my Blog CANDY and UNITY announcement if you missed it yesteday...you have until this evening to enter!
Hugs,
Jess :)

A little bird told me...
Well HELLO there.....how are all of you today?
I must say that it's a FABULOUS Thursday as I have QUITE a bit of excitement that's been brewing for a while! Are you all sitting down? Haha, just kidding, but I can tell you that when Angela Magnuson emailed me to ask me if I'd like to stay on the UNITY DESIGN TEAM, I'm glad that I was sitting down because I almost shot through the roof!
That's right folks...it's official! I am BEAMING with pride today as I can now let y'all know that I am stickin' around and could NOT be happier! Thank you so much to Angela, AJ and the rest of the Unity DT ROCKSTARS who have made me feel so welcome and appreciated. What a wonderful feeling this is!!!
To CELEBRATE, I have a little offering today to ONE LUCKY COMMENTER on my blog, but first, let me show you a BRAND NEW CHA RELEASE, entitled {Stitched Greetings}. This set will not be available until after CHA, but I thought I'd give ya a little sneak peek today and again on Monday :) HOW fun is that?
I really enjoyed doing some paper-piecing for this card, and the sentiments in this set are SO versatile, this is a perfect set for a beginning stamper, someone new to UNITY, or really, anyone who wants to add some CUTE stitched images to their stamping arsenal. As a matter of fact, you may remember the September KOTM, {GO ahead, WISH} that contained the little stitched pumpkin? That was one of my FAVORITE images and I'm so glad there are more that are similar!
I can't WAIT to meet my UNITY friends at CHA next week-we are going to have a blast and there will be plenty of laughs and hugs, I just know it! In the mean time, check out what the rest of this AMAZING DT has for you today:
And now, WANNA WIN a UNITY stamp set? I have a BRAND NEW {Insightful Meadow} set designed by the AMAZING Donna Downey! This gorgeous set featured large, beautiful floral stamps and amazing sentiments:
SO, want to win this set? All you have to do is LEAVE A COMMENT on this post today or tomorrow. I will keep this open until tomorrow evening and announce the winner on Saturday's blog post as I embark for sunny california and CHA! *(note, I wont be able to actually mail the set until I return next week, just fyi )
Good luck and we'll see you back here soon....and thank you SO, so much for all your support. It means the world to me to know that you are rooting for me and I am SUPER thrilled about this bit of news!
For now, I saw this quote about Teamwork and friendship and would like to dedicate it to the WONDERFUL women I am privileged to work with:

SERIOUSLY?
That is the FIRST thing that came to my mind when my sweet friend Danni Bindel sent me some happy mail over Christmas. She knew that I was searching for this ADORABLE Lilith image by Kraftin' Kimmie stamps and that a few US retailers had been out of it...and MUCH to my surprise, she told me one day I had a present coming. Is that the SWEETEST THING EVER????
THANK YOU, DANNI! I am SO excited I finally got to play with her-isn't she fabulous? Now I'm sure that little Miss thang here meant the "seriously?!?" in a WHOLE 'nother way, LOL! She seems pretty perturbed having that froggie on her head and just makes me laugh. My son Nicky LOVES frogs, so seeing as today is his turn at the DIEDRICH DARE, this image was PERFECT!
Here's Nicky's awesome sketch for us this week:
Fabulous indeed! Now, I took a little liberty w/ the layers and the "dots" a.k.a. my buttons but I hope you can somewhat see the sketch in here still. I SERIOUSLY had the best time creating this card! Not only is Lilith super fun to color, but it was another chance for me to use some of my fave My Mind's Eye Be Loved paper and had fun playing around w/ my Copics to match it.
Be sure to check out what the other DAREDEVILS have today for ya....I KNOW they won't disappoint!
- Cassie Larson
- Darla Wilson
- Debbie Lee (might be playing later today)
- Heather Schlatter
- Jacqueline Nordaune
- Jacquie Peifer
- Jessica Diedrich (a.k.a.Mom ;)
- Kim Ross (on vacation this week :)
- Kris Palakiko
- Randi Wall
- Rebecca Ednie
- Sandra MacLean
- Val Urtiaga
We HOPE you''ll play along! Visit the DARE blog for ALL the details and just remember to use keyword DDSC20 when you upload to a public gallery! Thanks!
See you back here tomorrow with some NEWS and some BLOG CANDY.... you SERIOUSLY don't wanna miss that!! ;)
Hugs n stuff,
Jess :)

Stella Stole my Heart...
Hey peeps!
You know what's better than making a card for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge? Getting to make it while STAMPING with Mercy! (and Pam and Jessie too, LOL!) I admittedly did NOT get much done this weekend...I was too busy eating, laughing, spending money at Michael's and well, eating again, haha....
Today's MTSC is another AWESOME sketch and yet another that I FLIPPED :) Here it is, MTSC57:
I used the sweet new STELLA Sprout from The Greeting Farm for this card using a bunch of brand new PRISM papers that I got from DieCuts R US! There is also a FABULOUS challenge going on over at the DCRU DT blog, and I will be posting my card using THAT sketch challenge tomorrow because I'm not feelin' so hot and need to get some rest!
Oh, and did I TELL you that I am in LOVE with Be LOVED from My Mind's Eye? Yeah, you'll be seeing a few more creations with that DP through Valentine's day...probably beyond , LOL! I just adore it and the colors are so beautiful together! Another fun new thing I got to use was this fab new Martha Stewart mega border punch. LOVE it! They were on sale for 30% off at Mike's so I had a blast shopping with the girls AND getting a bargain or two!
Well, be sure to check out the rest of Mercy's Muses and see what they've all been up to with this great sketch:
and our WONDERFUL Guest Muse....Vicki Burdick!
See you tomorrow for the Diedrich Dare!

You're a Doll...
Good Morning, everyone!
Did you all have a wonderful weekend? I hope so! One of the things I want to tell ALL of you ASAP is that if I haven't been around to your Blogs this weekend, I'm getting there! Wait for meeeee! LOL! I feel really bad I haven't been able to visit as much this week-it was crazy having family in town and going out of town for the weekend. But I'll be by soon-thanks for coming HERE and for being so awesome to me!
You know, if there is ONE thing in this life that makes me utterly happy besides the love of my immediate family, of course, it's a few good girlfriends. TRUE friends...soul sisters...and if you're REAL lucky, this type of friend might even be a STAMPIN' sister on top of it!
Well, I happen to have been able to spend time with THREE stampin' sisters this weekend...and I am a lucky, lucky girl :) I just had a BLAST. I came home totally missing my kids and DH, but I came home rejuvenated, happy, and well, just a bit sore from laughing ;)
When I inked up this NEW set from UNITY called "You're A Doll", I couldn't help but want to dedicate this card to my girlies and our weekend because they really ARE just absolute DOLLS! I am in LOVE with this new set. Have you seen the NEW RELEASES that are already available on the UNITY site?
Grab them now because in JUST a few short days, you are going to start seeing some SERIOUS CHA Cuteness and you're going to need to shop...AGAIN!!!
Not only that, but have you guys SEEN the NEW PERKS for signing up for the Kit of the MONTH?? There's still time to begin NOW by ordering the January Kit {Savor the Journey}, and wait until you see all the NEW BENEFITS! I've posted them so you can see what you're missing if you still need to sign up-I LOVE these kits!
Well, I hope your week starts out on a little MORE Mellow, little less Manic note...we're off of school today so I'm hoping a few extra precious minutes of sleep will do us all some good!
I'll leave you now with a few good quotes about GIRLFRIENDS as I am REALLY missing my girlies already but what a heartwarming memory I have of the weekend! So MERCY, JESSIE, and PAMMY-these are for you!
Hugs,
Jessica xoxo

And last, but not least, I had to throw this in because well....I just had to ;)

CRAZY doesn't even scratch the surface!
Ohhhhhhhh dear.... so yeah, it's another weekend at Pam Varnell's house stamping with my girls, Pam, of course, Mercy and Jessie!
There are laughs a-flyin' around here at the moment, but I wanted to make sure I got my card posted today for Crazy 4 Challenges using this AWESOME sketch from our own Lori Boyd! Here ya go, folks! C4C20:
Isn't it fab? I couldn't wait to ink up this ADORABLE Pure Innocence girlie from MFT! Isn't she stinkin' CUUUTE? I think she's just adorable and couldn't wait to use some more of my Be Loved DP from My Mind's Eye! This paper is definitely my FAVE for the upcoming Valentine's season-I hope I don't run out before then but I seem to want to reach for it before anything else!
Well, I'll let y'all run...I have some more CRAZINESS to attend to...but for now, dont forget to visit the rest of my CRAZIES and see what their takes on the sketch are:
Want to play along? Be sure to use Mr. Linky on the C4C blog and use keyword C4C20 if you upload to a public gallery! Have a WONDERFUL weekend, peeps!

Gettin' Digi with It...
Ok, I have to laugh because as I am typing this title I am giggling about the last time that my girls Mercy, Pam and Jessie and I got together! We had a REAL BAD 90's music-thon all weekend and there were some serious laughs. One came when I attempted to replicate (I can't even believe I am telling y'all this) the dance from Will Smith's "Gettin' Jiggy wit It" song....you know, the "na, na, na, na, na, na, na part?" Yeah...we won't go there. Just thank your stars that no one had a webcam or video phone. YOWZA.... LOL!!!!
The fun part is that as you are reading this, I am hanging with them, or at least on the way there! I cannot WAIT to have our girls weekend and I'm sure there'll be a bit of dancing :) Maybe not to Will, but I DID "Get DIGI with it" for today's post!
Today's FARM FRESH FRIDAY post over on the TGF blog is to "PICTURE THIS".....use and incorporate a photo on your card, layout, or project.
I decided to use the Merry Merry Digikit, available at The Greeting Farm and here's what I came up with:
Speaking of my GIRLS, THESE two girlies are the apple of my eye. This is us from last Christmas. Aren't they precious? That's the one drawback when I leave of course for these girls' weekends is that I miss them so much!
Are you guys new to scrapping or digiscrapping? The Greeting Farm has THREE really cute digikits that I'd love to see you try! There's also a REALLY cool prize at stake this week so be sure to head on over to the TGF BLOG and see how YOU can play in this week's challenge!
Have a GREAT FRIDAY everyone!
P.S. I am totally behind on my Google reader this week having had family here and now going out of town. PLEASE know how much I appreciate you guys stopping by, leaving your sweet comments, and being patient with me until I can get through it! I will look forward to stopping by as soon as I can! THANKS!!!

Cleanin' up my Act?...
haha NOT a chance! heehee...
Hmm. CLEAN. Love that word. Something I just BEAM about when my house is... CLEAN. Something I do pretty well when I'm not in sweats and jeans Mom mode. Yes, there is the rare occasion that I actually leave the house looking somewhat together, LOL! I LOVE makeup, hair, etc. so I do, at times, "CLEAN" up well. haha.
CLEAN. It's what my soul and heart and mind feel for 2010 and that is GOOD place to be for the start of the year. CLEAN slate. CLEAN breaks in some cases. CLEAN and PURE heart. CLEAN and healthy relationships and a clear view of what's important and I am SO grateful for these things whether they be the wonderful people or opportunities or circumstances in my life. A brand new house. A new start. So why am I not so sure about the word CLEAN? Well, I'm just not so sure that I'm any good at making "CAS: Clean and Simple" cards.?
Maybe that is where I conflict with myself. To me, CLEAN isn't always SIMPLE. For me, it's detailed..a little bit type-A, make sure the picture frames aren't crooked and turn that vase 1/4" to the left? In fact, I'm not a "simple" girl at times... I have simple needs, simple wants, simple desires, yes.... but my feelings, especially when I think of the complex view I have of the world around me or the intense, deep love I have for my DH and especially our children...to me those aren't SIMPLE at all because I could never begin to explain them.
ANYWAY, I've decided in my infinite (HA!) wisdom that Clean and simple have nothing to do with each other in my own life and maybe that's why I have issues with making "CAS" cards.
DO ANY of you have this issue?!?!? LOL!!! TALK TO ME! I want to know what you think! First, I want to know if you have this same feeling as I do about "Clean and Simple" and two, what do you think of these cards? Can I pull it off or should I pull out my sewing maching and twenty more embellies?
Anyway, if there was ANY image I wanted to use for these CAS cards, it was this adorable flower and sweet sentiments from UNITY! Are you guys getting excited?!?!? If you signed up for the Kit of the Month it should be coming...SOON!
If you're NOT signed up? OMG-have you SEEN the new perks to the kit club? You can read all about it HERE. You do NOT want to miss out on this, trust me!
Make sure you visit all the UNITY DT girls today too to see what they've been up to. I {heart} these amazingly talented and welcoming ladies:
Take care and I'll see you back here tomorrow where I'll be hanging with my girls again, Mercy, Jessie, and Pam! And we WILL be simple gals with simple needs (FOOD being the biggest, LOL! and LOTS of laughs!) CAN't WAIT!
MWAH!
Hmm.

LOVE is in the air....with a DARE!
Sorry I'm late today, folks, and sorry that I was M.I.A. yesterday, too. My brother and his wife were in from Atlanta for the past few days and my beautiful sister is here til Friday! HOORAY! I have missed her SO much and combined with the fact that my DH was finally home for a few days (he leaves again today though :( and I'm sad), I had to get in as much PRECIOUS, PRECIOUS family time as I possibly could!
Add to that, see THIS little cutie? She's my treasured sweater Anya that Marie gave us as an exclusive Greeting Farm Design Team gift for Christmas and I have been dying to use her...so I finally did yesterday, and last night as I went to assemble my card I spilled hot tea ALL over the image. GAHHHH! So, I started over from scratch this morning ;)
Today's Diedrich Dare is brought to you by my ADORABLE son and the best lil' rebounder on his basketball team, Jack :) I bring you DDSC18:
I'm going to keep this post short and sweet because I'm gonna jump right back into my morning coffee and conversation with the one I love. LOVE LOVE LOVE. It's in the air...I just wish HE didn't have to be in the air later today, but ahh, such is life, right? Thankfully we have enough love to carry us through this crazy traveling schedule until he can be home with us as usual :)
Be sure to check out the other Daredevils and their INSPIRING posts:
See ya tomorrow!

Slow and Steady FINDS the Treasure...
...ok, I know, it's "wins the race"...haha. But don't you find that when you SLOW DOWN for a bit that you find things, feel things, and experience things that might have just whizzed right past us at the pace we're used to keeping?
This weekend was a true example of that for me and I had the BEST time with my family. As bloggers, stampers, and busy peeps in general do you ever find you just want to shut off the phone, shut down the laptop, and just BE? Granted, it's hard. It's the one thing we turn to most often and sort of hard to 'cut the cord' but at the same time is MUCH NEEDED PEACE at times. And in slowing the pace, I definitely FOUND THE TREASURE this weekend just relaxing at home with my kids and DH. PURE BLISS.
To honor the SLOW and the TREASURE, I have two totally different creations for you today, ,the first one using this CUTE mushroom image from the January Kit of the Month {SAVOR THE JOURNEY}. YES! Mission accomplished...at least for this weekend. JOURNEY SAVORED :)
If you're NOT a UNITY KIT CLUB member yet, NOW IS THE TIME to join! Have you SEEN all the new perks for joining? They are seriously FABULOUS. With SO many discounts and free stamp opportunities, it just left me wondering....c'mon...say it with me!
WHO DOES THAT?!? You can check out all the details on quick and easy signup HERE.
Now WHO doesn't like to discover TREASURE? Well, have you guys SEEN the cute cute new releases? A few weeks ago, we debuted TEN of them to ring in '10 and I used the ADORABLE "Pirate Madness" set for my next card...which happens to be a techinique "TWO-for" which I NEVER do, I don't think ;)
My 7 year old boy Jack helped me with this one. He ADORES Pirates and as soon as I saw this set I knew I had to have it for him!
The card uses the EASEL technique and I also made it into a slider card so he could move the ship. He ADORES it, almost as much as I adore him. He made sure to ask permission to take it to school tomorrow and show his teacher, and as I tucked him and his twin brother into bed last night I caught a glimpse of how he had proudly displayed it on his nightstand already...now THAT is treasure. Love that boy, I'm telling ya...
Well, thanks SO much for coming to hang out with me today! I am having the TIME OF MY LIFE as your January Guest Designer and am definitely savoring THIS journey, too!
I'll leave you guys with a quote I found that describes JUST the treasure I'm talking about when we slow down and {Savor the Journey} a bit:

" Normal day, let me be aware of the TREASURE that you are...Let me learn from you, LOVE you, bless you before you depart. Let me not pass you by in some quest of some rare and perfect TOMORROW. Let me HOLD you while I may; for it may not always be so...." ~Mary Jean Iron

Through Rain or Shine...
Hey, hey!
It's a UNITY Saturday today....WOO HOO! Today my friends we are HOPPIN' with the WONDERFUL Unity DT girls for the premiere of the January STAMPIN' STORE KIT {Livin and Lovin Life!}
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this kit! I was so excited to work with it-only prob was what to start with first! Well, seeing as I just celebrated my 10th Anniversary this week, the adorable sentiment "Through RAIN or SHINE you'll ALWAYS be Mine" was the perfect way to end the week!
Then this ADORABLE image that I used totally reminded me of the song "RED UMBRELLA" by Faith Hill. Do you guys know it? It's a great, upbeat love song about having a safe place, a shelter, and finding that rainbow through love so yeah...works for me!

Sometimes life can get a little dark
I'm sure I've got bruises on my heart
Here come the black clouds full of pain
Yeah, you can break away without the chains
Your love is like a red umbrella
Walk the streets like Cinderella
Everyone can see it on my face
So let it rain
It's pourin' all around
Let it fall
It ain't gonna drown me
After all
I'm gonna be okay
So let it rain
You can wear your sorrow like an old raincoat
You can save your tears in a bottle made of gold
But the glitter on the sidewalk always shines
Yeah, even God needs to cry sometimes
Your love is like a red umbrella
Always there to make me better
When my broken dreams
Are fallin' from the sky
So let it rain
It's pourin' all around
Let it fall
It ain't gonna drown me
After all
I'm gonna be okay
So let it rain
Let it wash my tears away
Tomorrow's another day
Yeah
