A few Random INKlings... (ha ha ha)

Happy Wednesday, everyone! At the request of a few of you awesome readers I have added the "FOLLOW MY BLOG" Feature to the sidebar (so now I can see all your pretty faces!!!) I finally figured it out! lol... Thanks for asking...it means a LOT to know that you visit ;) Hugs!!!

So, today's card I thought I would post b/c I always have a hard time making sympathy cards. Unfortunately, there are a few people I know who have fallen on hard times or lost a loved one this past week and I needed to make a few cards. I think I have a hard time because you don't want to make it too bright, but at the same time, not too glum. Does that make sense? Do any of you feel the same at times? I'm working on getting a better feel for these types of cards so wanted to share in my learning experience with you guys...

I found this DP on SUPER clearance and I love the colors. It's a pretty pattern, isn't it? You should definitely check out the store at A WALK DOWN MEMORY LANE! The store is FULL of beautiful papers, over 400 patterns in stock and the prices and sales are amazing! Using Designer Papers on a card can really bring it to life and add a bold, elegant, vintage, or boho touch and that's JUST to name a few!

Ok, onto another Wednesday project....how cute is HE??? I have to start by saying that we are extremely blessed with the most wonderful Kindergarten teacher, Ms. Worden. My 3rd grader had her a few years ago and I was happy to know that she would still be there for my 6 yr old twin boys this year!

One of the things the kids look forward to is their "TREASURE BOXES". These boxes are made by the children and are for their weekly show and tell. They are to be decorated however the child wants to and it's one of their favorite things about Kindergarten.

We finished our first one this morning. My boy chose Thomas the Train as his theme and we had such a good time making this little box. Other than the stamping (and a little help cutting cardstock for safety reasons!), he did it all himself. How cute is this little creation?

He was so proud of it and me proud of HIM that I just had to share with you all this morning :)

It's the little things like these that really make you appreciate how our hobbies (ok, addictions LOL) really do influence and enrich the lives of not only each other, but our children. My children are so inspiring to me-I learn as much from them as they do from me. Isn't that the greatest?

Thanks for reading and for inspiring me, too here in blogworld! Big hugs,
