LPS Monday: Enjoying it All...

Hi everyone, Happy Monday!

I had a pretty laid back weekend, actually, which was nice. I have been fighting icky germs again...of course one of my kids is sick just before we head back to school...

I guess that's one of the things that prompted me to use this quote from the A Dream stamp set from The Little Paper Shop. I'm actually kinda bummed out that it's back to school today. Sure, it'll be a little less chaotic at times, but sometimes more... meetings, homework, etc. all starts up again today. I have to say that it was really nice to be home and "Enjoy the Little Things" a little more.
Sure we had some big moments...surgeries, holidays, you name it...but there is really something to be said about watching the kids play together, cuddling on the couch late into the morning while still in our jammies, and just not even leaving the house much, actually. Sure, there were a few "stir crazy" moments, but all in all...I certainly did enjoy all the litle moments I got to share with my kiddos this past few weeks. We had sleepovers, popcorn pj parties, and played a LOT of boardgames, lots of which they just got.
Ever played "Lets Go Fishin'? It's pretty stressful LOL...munching chomping little fish in a rotating pool that you have to "fish" out w/ rods...ack! But boy, to hear the giggles coming out of the kids mouths...it was a riot! Just a bunch of little things...hundreds of little moments of giggles, cuddles, and funny faces. Ah, well...spring break will be here soon enough...and OH BOY do I have plans! I'll get to that though later...back to the grind for now, right?
Happy Monday, and don't forget, there is a HUGE sale at The Little Paper Shop through Wed. the 7th. EVERYTHING in the store is on sale, anywhere from 10-50% off! We are making room for some AWESOME (did you catch that? I said AWESOME!!!!) new releases this month...sneak peeks next week so stay tuned! For now, have fun shopping and scoring some great deals on those stamps you've been wanting...including the A Dream set I used today :)

Hugs,
Jessica :)

Lovely Card Jessica it is so elegant and pretty and reminds me of somthing very rich for some reason like it belongs in a mansion or somthing it is just beautiful!!! I love all the embellies you used and it is just a perfect card!!

I too am having those same feelings of wishing Christmas break back!!! I went so fast and though I do not want to begrudge my MIL her time with the kids during break part of me wanted to keep them home with me!!!

With only 1 in real school so far and 1 in preschool we have not hit the horrible business years yet, but it is so much quieter and so much fun to play in jammies and just have fun as a family, and let the kids stay up late like we did before they started "the school" years. Spring break is early her the very first week of March so it will be nice it will come fast and from Kindergarten last year I learned from the start of January until school gets out in May it goes very very quickly!!!! School usually gets our around May 22nd here in Kansas so that comes fast.

I miss Christmas Break!!! But I love your card I really do!!!

Oh how funny I just realized my card for today uses the same Nestie set!!! LOL I love that set!!! I have not posted it yet though and now have to go get the baby up and head out to get Willow from Pre-School before I can post it, but the pictures are taken and edited in the computer so at least I got that far!!! :-)

this is really great Jess! I had glimpsed it but just now had time to actually look at it and take it all in and read your post. (how do those girls "skim" 100 blogs in 15 mins? i can't do it - i gotta read!!)
anywhoo! love the deep rich tones you used here and the quote is just wonderful! i too enjoyed the break...but really enjoyed D. going back to MDO on Monday too!
You are such a tease with your spring break plans. at first I thought CHA, but I think that is next month and Feb. is definitely early for spring break in chicago. guess i'll work on my patience and just wait and see what it is!!

This is just stunning!! I love the delish green ribbon, where did you get it? I always hate for vacations to end. It is nice to get back into routines, but it is also fun to have the ones you love around you. I guess though if you had that all the time, it wouldn't seem as special!

Lots of smiles,
Janna
