I love you, Mom...

...and Dad!

Well, our time here at Mom and Dad's is coming to a close but what a wonderful feeling it is to know that when we move into our new home, they will be about a 3 minute drive away!

The truck comes down tomorrow and very possibly I will be sleeping in my own bed in our new home tomorrow night. I can't believe it's finally here. In addition, after meet the teacher and half days, etc., the kids will have their first FULL day of school tomorrow! Crazy, huh? It's only August 3rd!

Well, with everything my parents have done for us, the meals, the helping with the kids, well, ALL the help they've given us, I wanted to make something SUPER special to thank them.My mom LOVES this window scene from Taylored Expressions. In fact, I've given her a few cards made with the Fresh Flowers set and she just loved it. So when I went to make her a thank you card, I knew exactly what I'd use.

This is one of my favorite stamp sets, too, I must admit. The coloring did take me a while but it always ends up looking so nice with these stamps. I really love the "glowing" effect you can acheive by using Copic Markers with these stamps.

I used the "I love you " sentiment from this stamp set and although it doesn't say half of what I'd like to my Mom and Dad, it's just that. I love them and I am so happy to be so close to them-and not just geographically :) I framed the sentiment in the Scalloped circle Nestabilities, which are available at an AWESOME PRICE over at DieCuts R Us!

Have you guys checked out the DCRU store and Design Team blog yet? If you have a chance, please hop over there and welcome the new DT as well as check out Claudia's AMAZING prices! See you over there....she has the new Spellbinders Pendants in stock and I am itching to get my hot little hands on them!

See you back here soon in blogland when I'm officially moved in! And thank you SO much for all your support! I cherish all your time and effort in reading and leaving your wonderfully sweet comments! You guys mean so much to me!

Jessica :)

This is really cute Jessica!! Congrats on the new home and being close to your parents.

They are so special and very difficult to be without, so enjoy them while they are still here. I lost my Dad very suddenly a few years back and it is very hard to imagine how much you miss them when they're gone.

Sorry, didn't mean to make everyone sad!! Very cute card. Hugs, Cathy
