Cleanin' up my Act?...

haha NOT a chance!   heehee...

Hmm.  CLEAN.  Love that word.   Something I just BEAM about when my house is...  CLEAN.   Something I do pretty well when I'm not in sweats and jeans Mom mode.  Yes, there is the rare occasion that I actually leave the house looking somewhat together, LOL!  I LOVE makeup, hair, etc. so I do, at times, "CLEAN" up well. haha.

CLEAN.  It's what my soul and heart and mind feel for 2010 and that is GOOD place to be for the start of the year.  CLEAN slate. CLEAN breaks in some cases.  CLEAN and PURE heart.  CLEAN and healthy relationships and a clear view of what's important and I am SO grateful for these things whether they be the wonderful people or opportunities or circumstances in my life.    A brand new house.  A new start.   So why am I not so sure about the word CLEAN?   Well, I'm just not so sure that I'm any good at making "CAS: Clean and Simple" cards.?

Maybe that is where I conflict with myself.  To me, CLEAN isn't always SIMPLE.  For me, it's detailed..a little bit type-A, make sure the picture frames aren't crooked and turn that vase 1/4" to the left?    In fact, I'm not a "simple" girl at times...  I have simple needs, simple wants, simple desires, yes.... but my feelings, especially when I think of the complex view I have of the world around me or the intense, deep love I have for my DH and especially our children...to me those aren't SIMPLE at all because I could never begin to explain them.

ANYWAY, I've decided in my infinite (HA!) wisdom that Clean and simple have nothing to do with each other in my own life and maybe that's why I have issues with making "CAS" cards.

DO ANY of you have this issue?!?!?   LOL!!!   TALK TO ME!  I want to know what you think!  First, I want to know if you have this same feeling as I do about "Clean and Simple" and two, what do you think of these cards?   Can I pull it off or should I pull out my sewing maching and twenty more embellies?

Anyway, if there was ANY image I wanted to use for these CAS cards, it was this adorable flower and sweet sentiments from UNITY!   Are you guys getting excited?!?!?   If you signed up for the Kit of the Month it should be coming...SOON!

If you're NOT signed up?  OMG-have you SEEN the new perks to the kit club?   You can read all about it HERE.   You do NOT want to miss out on this, trust me!

Make sure you visit all the UNITY DT girls today too to see what they've been up to.  I {heart} these amazingly talented and welcoming ladies:

Take care and I'll see you back here tomorrow where I'll be hanging with my girls again, Mercy, Jessie, and Pam!  And we WILL be simple gals with simple needs (FOOD being the biggest, LOL! and LOTS of laughs!)  CAN't WAIT!

MWAH!

Hi girl, I think you pulled it off just PERFECTLY!! Your cards don't look like you had any trouble with them at all. I know what you mean though, I think my cards look 'clean' but I can't call them simple. Anyway, love your cards girl!!

I get you girl! Clean is anything but simple! When you have a relationship keeping everything uncluttered and straight forward is hard work, so not simple, keeping a house clean with children is to be worked at too, emotions hey well the are never that easy lol!
Lol i hate making CAS cards i find it so hard and frustrating, but i think that your cards are stunning, they are nice and clean (great lines no clutter) and yet there is still enough detail to make you oooohhhh
love tasha xx

These are lovely. Simplicity is sometimes the hardest to acheive but at times the most beautiful. In a world where more is "always" supposed to be better it can be hard to keep it simple. I love what you did here. Nice stamps too!

Smiles!

A few months ago I discovered the world of rubber stamping blogs, and I did nothing for several weeks but go through all the wonderful blogs that I found. I knew that when I finally got into my studio and stamped again that my cards would be way different from what I used to do because of all the wonderful techniques I had learned. I started layering everything, the more the better, and popping up everything, and then I realized Christmas that if I wanted to send Christmas cards I would have to make some flat cards. What a problem! But I discovered that if you use an embossing folder it doesn't matter how ornate or simple the card is, it looks fabulous! I know how you feel about clean and simple, but you do such wonderful work regardless.
