I did it ANYWAY...

Hey everybody!

{{{Thanks so much for scrolling down to see my TGF Scrapbooking challenge and, well, I gotta say a pretty cute pic of my twin boys ;) }}}

HIP HOP!   I have been soooooo anxious for today's post because I have been CHOMPING at the BIT to use the new "BRAVE GIRL" Scrapbooking Kit from UNITY!    BRAVE GIRL.   I discovered Melody Ross's website after the UNITY DT got an early preview of this AMAZING new kit.   Yeah, I said it.

AMAZING.

Turns out that our very own Angela just returned from Brave Girl camp and I can't wait to hear her stories!  I really hope to go one day w/ my daughter.   I think self esteem, confidence, and being BRAVE are the three most important things a woman can aspire to have for HERSELF and even more importantly, her CHILDREN.   As soon as I saw this kit and read Melody's words I was SO INSPIRED.

And now, I've got the rubbah in my hot little hands and here's what I did with it so far:

We have a pretty nifty sketch for you today by Maria again, one of our Ippity sistas.   It's a really cool one:

...and I have to admit, I was a little intimidated w/ this one...but I DID IT ANYWAY. ;)  This stamp kind of makes me think not only of the famous women in history, but a little bit about myself too.

I was just thinking about how a bunch of people thought we were nuts to listen to our heart and make the decision to move our family to Tennessee.  All in 5 weeks from start to finish.

I DID IT ANYWAY.

I'm sure I could think of a ton more examples, but as I have never been more proud to be a resident of Nashville especially after the powerful example of how this city has really pulled together after the flood, it's the one that stands out the most in my mind.

I hope you guys will join us over on our SCS Forum today for fun, chit-chat, prizes, all KINDS of stuff!  We are gonna HIP HOP, cuz it's Thursday, cuz it's FUN, cuz we're UNITY, peeps!   I hope you'll get over there and see what's goin' on!

For now, head over to the fabulous Jimmi's blog to see what she has in store for you:

You totally rocked that awesome skethc, and I love how everything you used - the stamps (couldn't resist that set, but haven't had a chance to play yet), the papers, the stitching (still gotta do a crash course in sewing since my Janome arrived last week), and the embellies you chose are TDF gorgeous and perfect for this card! I love the vintage/Victorian/shabby loveliness of this - just totally takes my breath away! TFS!
