Sometimes, SIMPLICITY is the Key Ingredient...

Hey everyone!

I'm back today with the revel of the BRAND NEW October KEY INGREDIENTS Kit from Taylored Expressions!   I'm so excited and am LOVING when it's the 15th of the month :)  Super fun stuff!  This month, Taylor has put together an amazing kit using the new "Apple Cider" line of Designer Paper from Imaginisce as well as some beautiful coordinating ribbons and buttons (my two fave embellies!) a FULL size bottle of Cinnamon Stickles, and gorgeous cardstock colors!

I tell you what, a girl could really get used to the ease and simplicity in which cardmaking is done when you subscribe to these kits.  All the guess work is taken out for you and this month, we have an EXTRA special treat for subscribers!

In the spirit of keeping things simple, each Key Ingredients DT Member has put together a simple sample and instruction sheet for you to create a cute, simple project in no time!  Here is my project:

I also created a "Step it Up" version of my simple card by adding a few extra embellishments and steps for those of you who don't do simple or who are perhaps looking for a bit more in-depth project.

I really learned a lot from this challenge to "Keep it Simple".  Honestly, I have flip-flopped back and forth several times already trying to decide which one I like better and I STILL do not know-weird, huh?  Seriously, sometimes I think I 'can't" do simple well, and others I look at this card and think hmm, maybe simple IS better-and less IS more?   What do YOU THINK?     Here is my "Stepped Up" card:

I also decided to add another "1/2 step" (at least, that's what I'm calling it ;) to decorate the inside of the card as well on my 2nd version.  This is something so simple and can be done even on the 1st version of my card and although I seldom do this, I think it adds a TON to a card, especially if you're sending it out to someone special :)

Be sure to visit Taylor's Blog today as well as the blogs of my fellow Key Ingredients DT Members:

Last but not least, stop by the Taylored Expressions website if you're not already subscribed and find out ALL the information on how you can get started with these super cute, affordable kits.  Each kit has the supplies to make 10-12 cards EASILY and I often have leftovers!

Thanks for stopping by today and enjoy a safe, SIMPLE weekend, everyone!
