White Out...

Ok, so it's SNOWING again in Smashville.  Like, ground covered, cars in ditches, scary stuff....because really, it should NOT be snowing here!   Garrrrr I am SO over winter, and for my IL friends who keep saying "well, at least you don't have 30 inches, LOL."...VERY true, but let's not forget that I uprooted my entire family, switched schools, took a HUGE leap of faith-(which, has been one of the best leaps EVER, just fyi ;) all of it to move to somewhere WARMER, LOL!   I guess this white stuff wants to follow me for now, haha.   No seriously?  It's crazy right?  Even my pals in TX are getting hammered w/ the white stuff.  Nuts, I tell ya!

Well, in honor of that, just as I'm a bit out of my comfort zone in this weather, I decided to step OUT of my comfort zone in terms of stamping and went WHITE backgrounds and cardstock bases for my TWO projects today!

I got a LOVELY envelope of Unity goodies this week in the mail and could not WAIT to play!   So the first card I have uses a new "Itty Bitty" called "Sweetest Day" which is by one of our co-brands, Jillibean Soup!  LOVE this adorable little berry and couldn't wait to color it up!

The adorable twine is from the Twinery in Maraschino!

The next card I have was SUPER simple but I LOVE this butterfly so much, also from another co-branded Jillibean set called "Blossom Soup"  ;)  ADORABLE!  I stamped the clouds in the background with the new Marina Mist inkpad from Stampin Up and I really like that blue!  I then popped up the butterfly on some Echo Park DP and adaded some bling.  The sentiment is from ANOTHER awesome Itty Bitty just released from Unity, "Dream Big".

SO, how'd I do w/ the white space?  SOOO not me, but I think I could do it again, what do you think?

As for Unity, we have a TON of new releases, including the new February Kit of the Month!  I'm sure the girls have some serious eye candy for you today, so I'll letcha keep movin'!  Time to head over to my girl Jimmis' blog to see what SHE has in store for you!
Next Blog

Until tomorrow, peeps!
DREAM BIG...and MAKE LIFE SWEET!  xoxo

Cute cards! I'm liking the white - on the cards :)
Crazy weather! I think the South has has more snow than us, but then again, the Island is always on the borderline and always catches the least of all storm :) Sorry ;)
Stay warm and snuggly!
hugs, margie

Eeek! Sorry 'bout all the snow! I bet Nashville is beautiful with snow, though! We have a lot here in Wyoming too, but that's not a huge surprise! It will be here until May or June!

I think you did amazing with the white base! Cute cards! Love that strawberry! Stay warm, sweets!
