Hey everyone!
I'm so excited to bring you a card I made for my parents today, which is also being featured on the HELMAR Design Team blog!. Today is their 42nd anniversary. I am really close with my Mom and Dad, and am thankful to be CLOSE in proximity to them as well, although our 'closeness' has nothing to do w/ geography, most of the time :) My parents are literally my best friends, biggest inspiration/influences and have taught me more about love, self-worth, what's important, and most of all, how to BE a parent, which is probably the most priceless gift of all. Anyway, HAPPY 42 years, MOM and DAD! You really do mean the "WHIRL" to me!!!
I am obsessed with this ADORABLE Pinwheel Die and stamp set from Lil' Inker Designs! It is the PERFECT combination of cute, CUTE sentiments and an adorable (and WAY easy to use) pinwheel die- just awesome for SUMMER!
I used "Hometown Summer" DP by Pink Paislee, a preferred Helmar partner! PERFECT paper for someone who celebrates the day after the 4th! Once the pinwheel was assembled, I used a piece of a "bendy straw" (as my kids deem them :) and glued it to the card base using Helmar Premium Craft Glue. I also took a black, 1/2" Zap Dot, shown below, to adhere the pinwheel. For more details on how I put this card together, be sure to visit the HELMAR DT blog!

Last but not least, before I go, here's a pic of a super fun dessert I came up with and the best part was, it took all of about 3 minutes to make! The kids LOVED it and it was gone before we knew it, LOL!!!!
Thanks for hanging out with me today, and helping me celebrate my Mom and Dad!

Very cute, Jess! I LOVE how you used the Pinwheel for this card, and the polka dots look awesome! Many congratulations to your parents! I realized one day about 2 weeks ago that it would have been my parents' 48th anniversary if they had stayed together, and while I know things happen for a reason, it made me really sad that their marriage didn't last, so I'm glad you can celebrate such a milestone with your parents! :)
Oh my! This is wonderful! I am so excited that you love your pinwheel die and stamps :)
