Hey everyone! It's Tuesday and you know what that means...a new challenge on the RIBBON CAROUSEL challenge blog!
Grab your school colors, blue and red, or any school image, because Angela wants us to celebrate the kids and teacher’s going “Back to School” for this week’s Ribbon Carousel Challenge (RCC17).
My card is a little non-traditional that I have to share with you today. I actually made it early knowing this challenge was coming, because I made it for my little one who began Kindergarten this year. It all but broke me to send her through the school doors that first day, but after almost 3 weeks of school she is I am adjusting just fine :)
Both the sentiments are from Verve stamps- the "so proud of you" is from the "Small Phrases" set which is the perfect go-to stamp set, I swear. I just got it and I'll be getting a TON of use out of it, I am sure!
The large sentiment is from another one of my must-have sets, "Always on my Mind".
This week, we're giving a $10 gift certificate to RibbonCarousel.com to one lucky participant, so be sure to check out the RCC Blog for all the rules and details! I used a cute saddle-stitch ribbon on my card today.

OMGosh, what an adorable and PERFECT card to send your little girl off with! LOVE the mix of sentiments and colors, Jessica!
OHHHH! Great card--love the papers! You ALWAYS ALWAYS have the best papers! I love that ribbon on the corner! FUN! And I love that you made this for your little one! I love that you are adjusting fine---HUGS!!!!!!!
Aww! Love this card Jess! I'm sure she's adjusting as much as you are. With lovely cards like these, she knows how well loved she is. TFS! ;')
Sweet Sweet card for your little one! I bet she is having a blast at school! I actually posted a back to school card yesterday that I am still trying to figure out who to send it too, lol!
Love this Jess. So perfect for E on her first day!! I'm sure she LOVED it!!
Jessica you just make me smile. Let me say that first I just love your card. I am sure your little one just loved it as well. Then I have to tell you that I love the fact that you didn't really want to send her through those doors. I am so like that. My babies are both in eight grade and yet I am dreading next Wednesday when they have to go back. I love that they are home and I get the say as to where and what they do each day. My hubby their Daddy is at home during the day, so I go to work each day knowing that they are safe. I know it is a sickness, but I just dread it each year, and unlike you it takes me a little longer to get used to it and then they come upon Christmas Vacation. lol. Anyway great card and awesome sewing. Hugs, Lisa
SO fabulous!! LOVE it!!
