I {HEART} my Friends with Flair!...

Hello again!

This is my 2nd post today, thanks so much for scrolling down for my Farm Fresh Friday post for The Greeting Farm!  

I'm back with another fun FRIENDS WITH FLAIR creation.   I {HEART} Fridays.   Unity's Friends with Flair is such a fun day to spread the love and talent we all possess and I {HEART} sharing it!

I have a card for you today using one of the NEW CHA Releases, called {Stitched Greetings}.  This set is SO perfect if you're new to stamping, new to UNITY, or just want a really fabulous "ALL OCCASION" type set.  With a bunch of SUPER cute stitched images and some really great, versatile sentiments, this totally reminds me of one of the first stamp sets I bought when I thought I'd "try it out and see where it leads"...HA!   No, seriously though, this set is a TON cuter and I just love the little 'buttons' on the images, too!

WISE Friends have Flair...

Isn't that the TRUTH!?   I love this sentiment and it's something I know that I live by and definitely want to instill in my children!

So, for today's FRIENDS WITH FLAIR Friday with UNITY STAMPS, I decided to use this cute little wise owl combined with the sentiment...BOTH of which can be found in the JANUARY KIT OF THE MONTH, {Savor the Journey}.

New Year...New FLAIR!...

HAPPY, HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE!  Can you BELIEVE it's the FIRST of 2010!!??   I'm SO EXCITED to ring in the New Year with UNITY's FIRST Friends with FLAIR Friday of 2010!

You can now head over to UNITY STAMP CO and view the AMAZING January Kit of the Month in its entirety!  It's SO adorable.  One of my faves for sure....I know I know I say that a lot but seriously, the images in this kit are SO versatile I know I'm going to be able to use this one again and again and again!

My card today uses the new Kit of the Month which you can view HERE.   Isn't this little mushroom and snail image the CUTEST?  And, I LOVE the sentiment, too.   I hope we can all savor the journey a bit throughout 2010!

Friends w/Flair Friday: It's what's on the Inside...

Hi all!

HOORAY for Friends with Flair Fridays!  As promised, I'm back today to show you the inside contents of the box I made yesterday for our UNITY Thursday as we were hoppin' around w/ the DT!

Today for Friends with Flair Friday, I have a few SUPER simple cards to show you that made up the contents of one of the boxes I made for teacher gifts.   I spent SO much time on the boxes themselves, but didn't want to give them empty, of course, so I came up with these super simple notecards using both the December KOTM and also the "Because of You" set from Ippity!  that I purchased from my friend and Ippity Chick Randi Wall!

I really love the images and sentiments I chose for the notecards-I think they make a great, everyday set, and SIMPLE is key!

Here is the box up close again in case you missed yesterday's post.  I LOVE the hot air balloon image from the December Kit of the Month, {Delightful Moments}, and used Cosmo Cricket "Girl Friday" DP (available with the December Scrapbooking Kit!) to decorate it.   Hope you like it as much as I do!  (oh, and yeah, I went  crazy on the buttons ;)

Friends who have FLAIR together ,SHOP together...

Hey everyone!

{{{Thanks for scrolling down again this week for another FAB preview from The Greeting Farm!  I am SO in awe of your support that you've show me day after day even with more than one post.  You guys are the best and I'm soooo grateful!}}}

I am in the HOLIDAY SPIRIT alright...and I'm also in the mood to SHOP!

Granted, MOST of my holiday shopping experience this year has been online, which has actually worked out QUITE well and really helps beat the crowds, right?  Nevertheless, my DH and I have our big "shopping date" next week, where Grandma and Grandpa watch the kids and we go get everything in one fell swoop so I'm getting a little excited!

So, another thing I must admit that I love even MORE than shopping is carrying a cute handbag!  I think this cute purse was the first image I gravitated towards in the November kit, and the sentiment "A Day without SHOPPING is a day lost" just tickled my funny bone!  I definitely dont' have the stamina (ha! OR the funds!) to go out and indulge in retail therapy every day like I might have used to, but I still do love a deal!

I am extra excited about today's Friends with Flair post because it's my first as the DECEMBER GUEST Designer for UNITY STAMPS!   Yay!   I have received SUCH a warm welcome from you guys this week, I swear, I'm STILL floating on cloud 9!   Thank you SO much for all of your comments and encouragement-you really know how to make a gal feel good!

Another thing that will always have me beaming is my family.   Over the Thanksgiving Holiday, you may or may not have seen my "I'm Thankful For" post on the DieCuts R Us DT blog.   Well, I'm sharing that project with you here today and it's super close to my heart.

I really enjoyed using the NOVEMBER KOTM from UNITY to create this little accordion book from Quickutz (the book, and the American Crafts papers are available at DCRU).

The swirly frame-type stamp was PERFECT for the outside of the book and then the inside's little "Tickets" were just the right size to embellish the inside of the book, containing this year's pics of my four beautiful kiddos.

I am so thankful for these amazing little people it would take me all day to tell you why....even longer, maybe.   These four kids are the HEART, the SOUL and the REASON behind everything I do and I'm honored to share them with you.

This is just the right size to fit in my purse-LOVE that!  I even got to use the cute stitchy "Handmade by" stamp, also part of the November KOTM!

It's another Happy Friday and a UNITY Friday at that!   That's right...time for another fun Friends with Flair post and hey..there's coffee!  So sit back, relax, and enjoy!

Another Quote with Flair...

So, the other day, I found this CRAZY AMAZING QUOTE by Emerson:

I thought this was the coolest quote...and a few minutes later, our sweet Angela left me a comment saying "I have that in a stamp!"   YOU DO?  I thought....smiling at the prospect of getting online and ordering it immediately..until I realized...DUH!  I HAVE this stamp.  Oh, man...it was one of those days, HA!   Funny though-and SO glad I had it!   LOVE this from the UNITY QUOTE BUNDLE!!!  Yay!

Ok, so I am SUCH an amatuer, but my Mom gave me my sister's sewing machine that wasn't being used and I have begun to stitch on my cards!  Go easy on me...I'm not so good at the whole straight-line thing let, LOL!   What do you guys think about sewing on cards?   

I have to admit it's something I said I prob wouldn't do...too fussy..too much work..etc...but turns out I am QUITE the fussbucket and I like me that way, HA HA!

Well, today also happens to be a VERY special friend of mine's birthday.   This person is the VERY FIRST "blogging/stamping friend" I ever made on line.   About a year and a half ago, Papertrey Ink had a Mother's Day essay contest.  You can read all about that HERE.

Well, I happened to win the contest, and a day or so later, I got the SWEETEST email from someone named Charlene Austin.  She said a bunch of really wonderful things to me that day, but mostly just said that even though we didn't know each other, she just had to reach out and write because she was so touched by my story and wanted to thank me for sharing it.   Right then and there, a friendship was born.   We kept in contact via email, and soon we were both getting asked to be on DT's and sharing in the excitement together.   Life is life, and I don't get to spend as much time as I'd like to communicating with her, but she will ALWAYS hold a special place in my heart as my very first online stamping friend.     I LOVE YA, CHAR...Happy BIRTHDAY!!!!

Well, the wonderful Wendy Bond, Char's real life BFF, did me the honor by asking me and a few of Char's "Stampin' BFF's" to participate in a little Bday LOVE for her!   Char thinks this is just a regular "Loonie Stamper's Challenge", a group that she is a part of.  Little does she know there are a few of us crawling out of the woodwork to wish her a HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY today!

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!   I hope you love it, Char and have as big of a smile on your face as I have right now typing this.  You deserve a day as special as YOU ARE!!!!!

For my card, I used the "Go Ahead, Wish" Kit of the Month from UNITY STAMPS.  I LOVE this kit.  It's so whimsical and awesome just like UNITY!  For some reason my card looks white, but it's actually Prism Iced Kiwi.  LOVE Prism papers, don't you?  I finished off this sweet and simply card with some Prima crystals.

Brown Baggin' It...w/ Flair!...

Hey guys!

Thanks again for coming back for my Friends with Flair post today!  I am really excited about today's post because I did something totally out of my comfort zone and it felt GOOD!

This is my submission from last week's UNITY BACHELOR contest.  I am so excited about it, because I was among some AMAZING talent this week!  The challenge was to use a regular, everyday household item on your project.   I was totally stumped, but on Sunday night at about 11PM last week as I was preparing my kids' lunches for school the next day this idea came to me to use a Brown Paper lunch Bag!

I ADORE the October Kit of the Month from UNITY!  I was so excited when Angela first previewed it on the 1st of this month it seemed like FOREVAH til the 15th when they shipped!   I LOVE the variety of stamps in this kit and the quotes...Ohhhhhhh the quotes.  You guys all know they're my fave!

Here's a pic of Madelynn, my 9 yr old DD's lunch on Monday w/ the card and of course I HAD to stamp the bag too, hee hee.

Thank you SO much for sticking with me today on this TOTALLY non-traditional Friday for me!  First a preggo bunny....now stamping on Lunch bags?? Have I LOST it???   LOL!  I don't know, but I SURE had fun with these projects!

Thanks for scrolling down and landing here on another FUN FUN FUN installment of UNITY's "Friends with Flair" FRIDAYS!

LOVE FRIDAY...especially this week! It's been SUPER fun and productive...but VERY long. So, it's definitely a TGIF for me!

I know I probably sound like a broken record, but you guys know I am ALL ABOUT THE QUOTES!

One of the reasons I fell in love with UNITY STAMPS is because of the huge selection of quotes they have and the whimsical styles in which they offer them. I ADORE THEM.

Today's card uses an AWESOME quote which ties in very much so to my post above regarding my soon to be 4 year old DD and how she just makes me smile at every turn. You can read about it above or click HERE.I am SUPER psyched about getting my October Kit of the Month in the mail today, but for now, I am still having a grand old time using my September Kit and this quote speaks VOLUMES to me. I used the TESC86 sketch from Taylored Expressions this week to create this simple card that really lets the quote shine through as the focal point.

Hey friends!

I can't believe how fast this week has flown by....and want to thank you all again for so many well wishes regarding my oral surgery..there's an update below, as well :) You guys are AMAZING to me!

Well, it's Friday...time for another Friends with Flair Friday, sponsored by the incomparable Unity Stamp Company! I LOVE FWF's, cuz not only is it fun to create for it, but even MORE fun to share and with so many cool peeps that I've really enjoyed getting to know since we started this a few weeks ago! What's NOT to love, really?

Speaking of what's not to loooooooove, oh how I adore my coffee. Those of you that know me know all about my little connoisseur-ship (is that a word?) and love affair with it and so it actually surprises me that I don't have even MORE coffee stamps than I do.....but, I particularly LOVE this one from the September Kit of the Month and adore the saying that goes along with it! Because isn't it TRUE???? Coffee and friends ARE the perfect blend! At least in my book!

Speaking of friends, my friend Jessie Rone is the Featured Trendsetter this week over at There She Goes! Yay Jess!! This week, Jess's challenge is to make a monochromatic card. Well, I had to throw in the spiral clip on this card you see, because that is just SO Jess ;) But, the real reason for this card is because Jess is a really good friend of mine and is just one of the many lucky reminders I have in my life of how true the sentiment is... The girl has my back and can throw down some Starbucks with me while singing and blasting the radio.... and that's pretty awesome. So, thanks Jess...here's to another Venti Caramel Macchiato in our future...sooner than later I hope!

A Little Friday Frosted Flair...

***I know this is a CRAZY Friday as I have not one, not two, but THREE posts today, but thanks for stickin' with me and PLEASE, if you will, scroll down for my LPS Preview as well as my Farm Fresh Friday post from The Greeting Farm...there is SO much going on this week in cyber-stamping-space!***

Well, I am LOVING the September Kit of the Month from UNITY stamps, but while I have a few projects sitting right next to me here in the making, I realized that I never did get around to showing this little confection from last month!

You guys all know that next to butterflies, cupcakes are prob my next obsession and when I saw this sweet lil' stamp in the August kit I knew it had to be inked up!I followed a sketch and color combo from Taylored Expressions (Taylor is the ultimate cupcake lover!) Birthday Bash challenges and I really like how this one turned out, complete with Crystal Effects to make the cake plate shine like glass :)

When I first saw this adorable mailbox set, I knew I had to have it, and what's even sweeter than that? I got it FREE with the August Kit of the Month when I signed up?

Now, I know I'm a bit late getting on the bandwagon with the Kit of the Month, but OH MY was I ever living under a rock!? LOVE these stamps, and they are super awesome quality so they stamp out perfectly every time, too. Hello my friends with FLAIR!

I was volunteering at my kids' school most of yesterday so I missed a lot and was bummed....but the new releases and ALL their cuteness is bound to make me cave in this weekend and get out the good old credit card...holy COW are they cute! WOW!

Speaking of Unity, one of the things I love the most about them is their FANTASTIC selection of big, yummy quotes! Check this one out...seriously?!?! Could it be any cooler?!

Reading with FLAIR...

...cuz it's Friends with Flair Friday at Unity.... and because my DD thinks that reading is FABULOUS!A few days ago, I sat down to use up a few scraps and decided that my DD needed a new bookmark. She absolutely LOVES to read, which I'm sure I've mentioned before ;) I also could not WAIT to bust out my BIRDIE INSPIRATION set from UNITY stamps! This set is crazy cute and it was calling my name....you could say a "little bird" told me too get it, hee hee.

One of the reasons I love this set so much, along with so many other Unity sets, is that the quotes are PERFECT. LOVE THEM! Seriously HOW awesome is the quote I stamped on the back of the bookmark?

I also used the bird/flower stamp from the August Kit of the Month which is SO fresh and fun and was begging me to use it!

I colored the image with my copics, adhered the AMAZING quote to the back, and then added some fun ribbon to finish it. The best part was that after coloring , this only took about 5 minutes!
Well, that's not the best part...the BEST part was seeing the look on Madelynn's face when I gave it to her... have a great Friday and be sure to stop by the Unity Blog to see the list ALL the wonderful participants in Friends with Flair Fridays! Friends with Flair...Friends in Unity...

I am so excited to be participating in the first "Friends with Flair" Friday with Unity Stamp Company! So excited that I have TWO cards to show you!!

I was a LITTLE behind getting on the bandwagon for the previous "Hip Hops" they used to have and well, I kinda feel like I've been living under a rock. I will tell you, it's a GLORIOUS thing when something fresh and new comes along and you go "oh, hey, I LOOOOOVE that!" Add to that I have a little more time to stamp, and well, you could say I've achieved UNITY with these amazing stamps!

Add to the mix SUPERB Customer Service (I got my Kit AND my order within two days of ordering them!), wonderful people I've been chatting it up with on the forum, Facebook, and a ton of inspiration from some ROCKIN' DT members, I'm just as giddy as a girl in a candy (ok, stamp) shop! You will DEFINITELY be seeing more of these stamps on my blog cuz I kinda can't stop stamping with them!

I took the plunge, signed up for the Kit of the Month club, and also was lucky enough to hit a HUGE sale last week where I was FINALLY able to buy my favorite Quote Bundle from them that I've only been eyeing for oh, FOREVER!
So speaking of quotes, HOW COOL is this one. LOVE IT. And SO TRUE. I tend to be a risk taker by nature, and although I put a lot of thought into something before I "jump", I do really enjoy the outcome most of the time. I think this quote speaks volumes about my personality and I ADORE the fact that it's a stamp!

And how cool is this vintage bicycle? Perfect for the quote I think. You've got to ride a lot of miles and risk "going to far" I guess, to get where you want to go, right? I love when I can make a card and feel like I can tailor it to mean something and/or symbolize something that I really want to say....don't you agree?

I also created another fun card for today. HOW CUTE are these CUPCAKES??? I had a BLAST making this card and got a little crazy with the coordinating buttons but come on! They match perfectly w/ this yummy DP so you know how it goes...had to do it! I LOVE this cupcake stamp and the "sweet nothin's" was the perfect sentiment to pair them with! Both these cute stamps are in the August Kit of the Month...have I MENTIONED I love it? LOL. I used this past week's TESC80 sketch by Taylor Van Bruggen to create this card.
