LPS Monday: Thinking of You...

***Be sure to scroll down for an exciting announcement, too!***

Wow, what a crazy weekend it has been!

I got the kids all registered for school, found a pediatrician, dentist, nail salon, and mapquested two LSS's in the Nashville area :) I even found all the new radio stations (Thanks Mercy!) to preset my car radio too so I'm set there, too! LOL!

We did a lot this weekend. In addition to all the above, on Saturday I could tell Mom and Dad needed a break so I took the kiddos to the Nashville Zoo for the day. We had a blast! It's a great place to walk around so we got the annual membership. To cool off from the 95 degree heat we swam the rest of the afternoon on Saturday and then Dad grilled huge, thick steaks and salmon and I made the Lonestar Steakhouse marinade for the salmon...YUM!!!

Yesterday we chilled and I took the kids to see G-Force. It was cute...pretty funny, actually. Then, I slowly began to take out the heinous mess that is about 3 bins and 4 bags full of the stamping supplies I brought here to Mom and Dad's. We don't close on the house til Friday (and I was SUPPOSED to go to CHA but now I don't think I can :( sniff!) and can't move in til a week from today so I have stuff all over the place and it's a bit nutty.Anyway, it took me a while to get my bearings but it's LPS Monday and I didn't want to miss out on the fabulous color challenge they have going on over at the LPS blog! This week's color challenge is to use Pixie Pink, Brilliant Blue, and Real Red to create a card or layout with.
You''ll have to bear with me a bit since I didn't have the EXACT colors of CS-I used Riding Hood Red, Hibiscus Burst and a sheet from the beautiful new Junebug collection of DP by BasicGrey. I took a comparable Copic marker color to color in the chairs and coffee mugs from the "Garden Gate" set by Little Paper Shop to add a bit more blue to the card. I'm not sure if I like how it came out but I am a bit frazzled right now trying to figure out what is where... I am working out of bins, people! LOL!

Be sure to head on over to the LPS blog to see what the rest of the DT has in store for you and to find out all the details on how YOU can win a prize this week!

Til tomorrow!
Jess :)

Yay Jessica! It sounds like you all are settling in quite well there. I am sure your mom and dad are thrilled to have you near. I love the Nashville Zoo! The last time we went we got to ride an elephant. :D Salmon and steak, mmm...Back to your card, it is absolutely adorable! I would have never guessed you were working out of bins and bags, your work is that awesome. Love the garden scene over the al fresco dining area, very pretty with the color combo. Enjoy your transition into TN!
