Wahoo!!! Welcome to the first week of challenges at the Ribbon Carousel blog!!! We are so excited that you are joining us today! Oh yeah....so did you HEAR my news??? Corinna McGregor has created an amazing ribbon storage system called the “Ribbon Carousel” that we all absolutely love and is a must have in any crafter’s arsenal...and she has asked ME to be on her inaugural DT and I am THRILLED!
In celebration of this, we are embarking on our first challenge.
For this week’s challenge, we want to get “Inspired” by the carousel itself! The Ribbon Carousel is gorgeous, right? So we’ve decided to see what inspires you by it.
Is it the Black, white and a pop of color? Is it the ribbons (monochromatic)? How about those polka dots? (that's what I went with!)
Or even a combination of the colors?
I was inspired by the beautiful polka-dot ribbon-always stands out to me more than any other type. In addition to the dots, I also used some lace trim and cotton trim-you can use basically anything that comes on a spool or cardboard wrap ;) Here is my creation using the amazing "Own Your Story" stamp and die set by My Favorite Things:
In fact, I LOVE trims and ribbons soooo much that I used some on the INSIDE of my card as well:
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you guys are JUST as excited about the Ribbon Carousel as I am!
- Be sure that your creation has ribbon, bakers twine, jute twine, lace (basically anything that comes on a spool) and follows the rest of the challenge.
- Mention the challenge in your post with a link back to the Ribbon Carousel's Blog post...include the graphic, if possible.
- Link up your creation to the Ribbon Carousel's Blog using a direct link to your blog post. If you are uploading to an online gallery, make sure you use the keyword RCC1. Remember – that you don’t need a blog to participate in our challenge.
- Comments on the Carousel Crew posts are NOT required, but always appreciated. :D
Winners will be announced on Friday's following the ending of the challenge week. Some week's we will have sponsors, others will be just for fun, and the chance to be named Top Spool!
Happy creating, everyone!
