Market Street Stamps/Twinery BLOG HOP!

WELCOME to the Twinery/Market Street Stamps blog hop!

I'm so excited to be here today because I just adore both products and happen to work with a REAL sweetie of a soul, Angelica, who is the owner of Market Street Stamps and also on the Twinery DT with me.  Hooray for FUN collaborations!

If you're just getting here from BRENDA's blog, you've come to the right place!  Today I have a card set using 4x4 sized notecards, Twinery Twine in Honeydew and the beautiful "Simple Joys" stamp set from Market Street.  I Think these sentiments are the perfect theme to tuck a little card in to a teacher's note, gift, or anywhere you might want to sprinkle a little extra Christmas cheer with these three awesome sentiments I used:

Believe:
Joy:
Peace:

Hope you enjoyed them!

There are also some FUN prizes being given away if you participate both days of this two-day event!  The Twinery is giving away One ULTIMATE SAMPLER pack (retails for $25!)

and Market St. is giving away at $25 gift certificate- just THINK of how fun that shopping event will be!

So just make sure you comment on each and every post some time before November 25th!  Winner will be drawn at random on Saturday the 26th and announced both on the TWINERY blog and the MSS blog too!  :)

Hope you had fun here today, and last but not least, be sure to visit the beautiful STEPHANIE next to see what she has up her sleeve!

Thanks again and be sure to check out both of these awesome companies...happy shopping! :)

RELEASE Day and Ribbons and Twine, Oh, my!

Hey, everyone!

I can't believe how quickly the past few days has gone by, can you?  I have to say that we had the BEST Halloween on record yesterday.  Not only was it pretty warm (sunny and about 65 I think), but it was the most FUN we've had on Halloween since I can remember!   I have over 200 pics to go through and edit, but we had an absolute BLAST!

Not only did my kids look fantastic, but my Mom and aunts dressed up too and I, of course, dusted off my 10/6 hat for the occasion along with some pretty fab (but short lived) eyelashes ;)

In other news, we certainly hope you've been enjoying all the new previews we've shown you and WAIT NO MORE- release day is here!

You can now add Holiday Anya, Matilda, and Creeper Saturday and Sunday to your TGF collection!  While you're enjoying the NEW releases on the DT's blogs today, be sure to leave a comment on each one because
ONE.
LUCKY.

Here's one of them, showcasing the new CREEPER Saturday:

Here's the list of our amazing DT for when you have time- you'll have until 10pm CST tonight to comment and be sure to stop back here letting us know you DID!  Thanks!

Jessica Diedrich  <-you are here!

What's more?  Join us over on our SCS forum today throughout the day for random chatter...and if we're not around?  Make your own chatter, too!   We LOVE watching the way our customers have been interacting on the SCS site.   SO fun to see and just what we wanted to see happen, too!

On that note?   There will be prizes throughout the day and ANOTHER Release PRIZE PACK JUST for going to say hello at some point or another before 10pm CST!

As if that weren't enough...all the FUN guest designer happenings, our FIRST live stamping event on SCS, and MUCH more is just around the corner in November...we are JUST getting started!  See you around the Farm today!

I also have a FUN announcement about where else you might be seeing more of me around.  I was absolutely THRILLED when Corinna McGregor asked me to serve another term on the Ribbon Carousel Design Team and there is a HUGE announcement about some new additions over there on the RIBBON CAROUSEL blog- I myself am pretty darn excited to get to know some of these wonderful ladies and continue on with some wonderful ones, too!   Our FIRST challenge of the new term is:

ANYTHING GOES!
My card uses some fun TWINE and it just so happens that Ribbon Carousel has a HUGE giveaway today regarding some AMAZING new reusable spools for sale in the store today for the VERY FIRST TIME!

Be sure to check out the Ribbon Carousel Blog for more details and also the Ribbon Carousel STORE to see the awesome new products plus a new 8-post carousel that would be PERFECT for holding full=sized spools of twine too- I know my wish list is growing- is yours?  ;)

First thing's first-if you came here by way of my sweet friend EMILY LEIPHART's blog, you are on the right track!.  If not, make sure you start at the beginning over at The Twinery's blog because there are terrific prizes for those who complete the hop by commenting on each blog.  You'll have two days to enjoy this hop, so relax and have fun!

I was THRILLED to be able to work with Echo Park paper today and cannot wait to show you what I've been up to :)  I created three cards today, and they are all special to me!  The first one uses the gorgeous Victoria Gardens collection:
My second and third cards use papers from the adorable "SPLASH" collection and I just can't get enough of summer and soaking up all that's left of it!  These verses fit well for that too, don't' you think? (from Verve Stamps).  Here are my next two cards, one featuring a button/twine flower with Mandarin Twine:

Now....just for hopping...have I MENTIONED the prize that one lucky winner will take home from this hop?  The Twinery is giving away a SAMPLER PACK of twine, and Echo Park has generously offered to give away THREE COLLECTIONS!  That is a mega-prize, baby!

Be sure to hop to each of our amazing designers blogs and check out the projects using baker's twine from The Twinery and the fabulously creative designer papers from Echo Park.  Each 12x12 collection is double sided, comes with stickers, journaling boxes, pretty borders....oh, my goodness they are SO FUN.

I'm so glad you stopped by today and I hope I've inspired you to try The Twinery's twine.  Not only is it the best quality, but their customer service is excellent and well, I have to say I think the design team is pretty great, too ;)

Sweet Watermelons, flowers, and a GIVEAWAY for a Summer "Send-off"...

Ok...I am not REALLY sending off Summer because part of the reason I live in the South is to PROLONG our summer as long as possible!  However, school has been in session for TWO weeks now, can ya believe it?  I still can't.  My heart has literally left me in little pieces these past few weeks as I watch my children grow up before my eyes...thankfully these pieces are returned to me, almost in tact, each day they return off the bus  (even on those 'chaos' days, haha!)

Anyway, I have a card today debuting a BRAND NEW stamp from Stamping Bella, this little chick's name is JASMINE and she is DARLING, is she not?!  LOVE her.  Today for the Bella-riffic Friday challenge we had a 'paper piercing' challenge so as you can see I had fun piercing :)   Next week's challenge is to pull out those CUTE "huggabuggs" and use 'em!  Check out the rest of my Bellariffic teammates too- links are on my left sidebar here!

So....my last trip to the Nashville Farmer's Market inspired me to think of how much I LOVE flowers and watermelon, in particular, during the summer.  That may sound funny, but it's where my mind went while making this card, which is also featured today over on the TWINERY BLOG!.  Also inspiring was a card I received for my birthday (another one of my favorite things about summer!) from a dear friend of mine who used Twinery Twine that she created into a handmade flower embellishment.  I loved it SO much I had to try it and here's what I came up with:

I took some BLOSSOM twine snippets and glued them down to the back of a button, being careful to leave the button holes open until I achieved the desired look of this flower.   Wrapping some HONEYDEW twine around my card  (see the cute watermelon-inspired paper?) I pulled it through the button and tied it into a bow.  This was SO EASY and so much fun to do!

Now, speaking of ALL this cute Twinery twine, have you seen the newest COLORS?   Check them out:
As I am feeling UBER grateful for my friends in the stamping community (I'm hanging out with TWO of them TODAY, as a matter of fact...can you guess WHO they are?  LOL!) and my family, I am GIVING AWAY a sampler pack of this new TWINE!

Leave me a comment here saying what YOUR favorite thing about summer is and I'll announce the winner on Monday at 12:01 AM CST so you have all through SUNDAY NIGHT to enter!

Good luck and thanks for sending-off SUMMER with me so sweetly!  <3

SWEET Summer...

Jessica here with a fun summer treat for you- and a SUPER easy one at that!   I'm also being featured on the TWINERY BLOG today and it's also Mystery Monday on the Farm Fresh Challenge Blog so please head on over to say hello there, too!  Thanks!

A few weeks ago, THIS card by Sarah Milbourn caught my eye and I thought the lollipops were SO adorable I knew just what I wanted to create.   I'm sure there are a lot of FUN lollipop projects with Twine out there that I haven't even seen yet, but all I know is I was SUPER anxious to get started on a project of my own!  Just in time for a "SWEET" summer, indeed!

It also brings back SWEET memories.  Every year, we'd go on our one family vacation up to Door County, WI to stay at my Grandma's house- usually for about two weeks at a time.   Maybe once a week, my Dad would take us to "The Yum-Yum Tree", a local ice cream and candy shoppe in town.    It was always SUPER difficult to decide if I wanted Bubble Gum or Butter Brickle ice cream or if I wanted a giant lollipop soooo similar to the one on my card today!  Ahhh, sweet memories.  Love my Dad and so enjoyed celebrating him on Father's Day yesterday!

Ok!  So, after stamping and coloring my LOLLI ANYA (who is sadly discontinued, sorry guys!) from The Greeting Farm, I applied some HELMAR 450 Quick Dry onto the lollipop.  This was even easier for me than making hand-designed ones because I had the image as a 'template' of sorts to follow!  Fun!   Here's the image about half way covered with Twine.  I used Pink Sorbet Baker's Twine from The Twinery!

I also snuck in some Blossom twine between my two different types of designer paper behind my flower.  Normally I would think to use ribbon but the twine REALLY gives it a cute and simple look, don't you think?  I like that it doesn't 'take away' from my focal point either.

Here's my finished product, good enough to eat!  My layout is taken from today's MYSTERY MONDAY CASE challenge on the Farm Fresh Challenge Blog, so be sure to check out the links of my teammates too- links on my left sidebar and MAN are these girls talented!!!!
Last but not least, if you didn't catch the Father's Day slideshow for my Dad or some of my favorite childhood memories listed, please visit my personal blog, Yeah She Blogs!  I'm gearing up for a FUN SUMMER GIVEAWAY there too- give me a bit to get it together!  Thanks SO much for stopping by today!!!
