Sweet Sketch w/ Sweet Pea...and a chance to WIN!

Hey everyone!

{{{Please SCROLL DOWN for my Club Anya &Friends Wednesday Challenge-thank you SO much for bearing with me as it's another double posting day LOL!}}}

It's Whimsical Wednesday and time for another Diedrich Dare.   We have ALL KINDS of excitement for you today, including the chance to win a GIFT CERTIFICATE from Sweet Pea stamps!

The VERY generous Lynette, owner of Sweet Pea stamps has provided the DT with some beautiful stamps to use throughout the month and has a $20 Gift Certificate to give away to ONE LUCKY WINNER this week!

Sweet Pea Stamps range anywhere from whimsical to artistic. They are made of hiqh quality, unmounted red rubber. They have an amazing collection of images from three talented fantasy artists: Ching-Chou Kuik, Elaine Cox, and Lisa Victoria. If you would like to see more samples, please check out the Sweet Pea Stamps blog.

Be sure to check out the DIEDRICH DARE Blog, too for all the details, and a special thanks to Lynette and also our Daredevil Randi, my SWEET friend for setting this up! I am so excited to be working with Sweet Pea.  Their images are absolutely STUNNING and so fun to color!

Today we also have some exciting news...Announcing "MIX IT UP MAY!"   ALL month long we will be introducing some "Guest" Designers...as in Guest sketch artists!   That's right!  You'll be getting double, maybe even triple-dog DARED by some of the Daredevil's children.  We have some fabulous aspiring DAREDEVILS in the making folks, so stay tuned!

First up is our DT member Andi's DD, Kaitlyn, with this adorable sketch:

And here is my take on it, using the beautiful "My Buddy" stamp from the Ching-Chou Kuik line of art stamps.  This couldn't be more perfect as my the boys LOVE frogs and girls love fairies!  Isn't this a gorgeous image?  Do NOT let these images intimidate you w/ the coloring!  I swear for the longest time I was so scared to color them but ever since I started I could just sit and color for hours.  So much fun!

I used my new Webster's Pages Bloomers as the ribbon and switched up the sentiment/embellie panels to kind of combine w each other.  I basically flipped the sketch upside down :)   This is really a fantastic go-to sketch!  Thanks to Katie for coming up with it....in fact it's probably one I'll use over and over!  I'm sure the other Daredevils feel the same!  Let's go check out their awesome creations:

Hope you all have a WHIMSICAL WEDNESDAY and don't forget to play along w/ us this week!

Live, love, laugh, and smile,
Jessica ;) xoxo
