Isn't she dreamy?  Makes me LONG for the beach and I was just there! (although, only for a few hours and there were man-o-war all over so we really couldn't swim, LOL!)  I used some of the new "SALT AIR" 6x6 paper stack from Cosmo Cricket (available at CLAUDIA & CO~) and used some Crate Paper buttons and embellishments-the little hibiscus button is perfect, right?!

Two cards, one sentiment, and a FUN bit of news!...

FOR THE RECORD....I have a fun card for you today using "For the Record", actually...as in, Echo Park "For the Record" 6x6 Sampler pack from Claudia & Company!

And speaking of Claudia & Co., I have some fun news!!!   I will now be bringing you a fun MONTHLY post as your friendly:

Im giving you a little sneak peek of something I'll be doing ONCE a month-on the 3rd Thursday of each month to be exact!  Every 3rd Thursday of the month, I'll be showcasing a different 6x6 Sampler pack and showing you FUN WAYS TO USE IT!!!!!!    I am SO excited about this, and one of the BEST parts is being able to work with Claudia again!   Claudia & Co. is one of the BEST online stores out there that offers not only the best in paper and supplies, but she also sells TGF, Unity, and other fun stamps including her own SUPER fun line of Digital images too!  Seriously ADORABLE stuff, so make sure you stop by the Claudia and Company STORE and I'll see you back here with lots more later!

Isn't she dreamy?  She is DEFINITELY warm and toasty!  Speaking of which, that's where the fun came into play....  I had a li little idea I had to use the same sentiment on two totally different cards :)   Today for Farm Fresh Friday, we are using our Christmas stash! WHAT?  Yep, you're not in some warped time zone, it's MARCH and time to use up those pretty papers!  Speaking of pretty-I LOVE this Tinsel and Twig collection so much that I'm actually glad I can still get it-I will definitely want to use it again!  But I did have a few scraps left over, so using this week's SCS Sketch Challenge, here is my card using Beanie Anya:

I LOVE these Sampler packs.  What a FUN and AFFORDABLE way to be able to try out so many of the latest and greatest paper lines out there w/out breaking the bank, first of all...and second-there are always NEW ones being put into the Claudia and Co. store...and honestly?  I'm not really a fan of having to store 12x12 papers and have been known to cut all my 12x12 into this 6x6 size anyway!.  I really like these packs because there's just enough paper before you want to move on to the next paper trend!  Best of all, they're priced at just over $3-some being even less than that!

I have to say it was fun to provide TWO takes on the "warm and Toasty" sentiment this week and even MORE fun to share w/ you my fun little announcement!    And for even MORE fun..I've got a SUPER weekend planned...can't wait to kick it off!

HELLO Friday!...

Hey everyone!

I have to say, that for the first time in a while, I am really feeling the TGIF today!  Normally, since I don't work a traditional job, Friday is just another day at the office LOL-and although I LOVE weekends to be able to relax a bit, we usually have early morning games or something else going on so I don't always have that "TGIF" mentality.  This week though, between the good ol' stomach flu and some extra work piled up from being gone, I have put in a ton of hours and it just feels good to be DONE with the week.  So HELLO, Friday!  HELLO weekend!

Speaking of HELLO, how cute is this Anya from the Miss Anya "Hats Off" collection by The Greeting Farm?  Today on the TGF Blog we have a new Farm Fresh Friday challenge-it's a color combo:

Cool thing is?  YOU get to choose the 3rd color!  How fun is that?!   I chose to add a splash of yellow and some fun puffy clouds with some Bella Blvd DP on my card:

After putting some fun papers together and the finishing touches on this colorful card, I really like it's bright and cheery color palette and as you know, I am MORE than ready for spring, LOL!

Last but not least, today is my wonderful brother's birthday.  Happy Birthday, Dann!  My brother and I are super close and he's also amazing with the kids and close w/ my DH too.  I love that.  Although I don't get to see him as often as I would love to, I got to spend some time with him while out in L.A. last week.  We hung out at the beach :)

My HAT's OFF to you on Farm Fresh Friday...

Hello everyone!   As you are reading this, I have most likely (and tearfully, cuz it still hurts a bit each time...) kissed my children goodbye in their sleep, kissed my new little puppy on it's nose, gotten the 'you'll be ok and you are awesome' pep talk (which is always MUCH needed!) from my wonderful and supportive DH, and gotten on a plane...probably all before most of you are awake :)   It's ABOUT that time...CHA baby...CHA.  I'll be arriving in SUNNY LA after 2 (or 3...but please let's hope 2, LOL!) legs of flying and CANNOT WAIT to see friends, work the floor, and have a BLAST even though it's hard work, as anyone will tell ya :)

For now... It's time for another Farm Fresh Friday AND a bunch of UBER-fabulous NEW RELEASES are around the corner at The Greeting Farm....all coming to you on February 1st!

Today is also our FIRST day of Feb. previews and we have some announcements to make here on the Farm.  Sadly we say goodbye to Tammy Maxvill as her term as Farmer has come to a close.  We will miss you Tammy and THANK YOU for all of your wonderful contributions, tutorials, and awesome 3D proejcts!  We also have a new addition!  or TWO!? Please welcome (back!) BUTTERCUP as a FULL-TIME FARMER!  We are THRILLED that she will be joining us through the month of June along with our other 3 new Farmers and are VERY excited about what she has in store for us!   As if that weren't exciting enough, please SHAELA ODD as our February Guest Designer for TGF!  Some of you may recognize the sweet Shaela from her term with our Critter Crew and we are very happy to have her back as our February Guest :)

Today we have Team Anya joining us for FFF as well, so it's without further adieu that we also welcome PEGGY McCURRY as our FEBRUARY GUEST DESIGNER for Team Anya!   Peggy has been a long-time fan of the Farm and has wow'd us with her amazing layouts (which we've CASED a few times, I think!) and we are glad to have her!

Always exciting here on the Farm!  And now onto the Challenge!  This week, we invite our friends and customers to join us in our "Hat's Off to You!" challenge!...use a HAT theme on your card or project!  You can cut one out/alter a stamp, use Hat paper, hat racks, hat pins, baseball caps, anything to do with HATS on your challenge card.  You can also create a 3d/altered item in the shape of a hat?  Whatever you fancy, it's hat's off to you this week!

Pop Goes the Challenge...

...as in POPPED up!

Today at The Greeting Farm Blog we are poppin' on by with a NEW challenge.... to add some "pop" to your projects using dimensionals (pop dots), paper tole, any type of 3D technique to give your project that little extra lift :)

I used this adorable Oliver from the "Journey" set and used the Paper Tole technique on his hat.  Here's a close up of the paper tole, which just means a few layers popped up with dimensionals:

I love how the Crate Paper restoration papers really came together w/ little Oliver :)  The blue and yellow polka dots are probably my favorite piece from the pad.  So cute!  I used this week's SCS sketch challenge, too, for this card :)

Doesn't get much BETTER than this...

Isn't that the truth?   Thanks so much for SCROLLING DOWN!

So far this year has kicked off to be WONDERFUL and FULL of family time- esp since the kids have been off school!  With the addition of the new pupster *I should say "Star" since she steals the show!), my sister arriving today and another Christmas?  Are ya kidding?  We are pretty happy campers!

DH and I are going to make homemade crepe-style pancakes this morning for breakfast and I am STOKED!  Life is good.

Life on the farm this week-that's THE GREETING FARM for those of you who might not know-is COLORFUL!  We have a new Color combo challenge for Farm Fresh Friday and this one's w/ a twist:
Use BLACK, TURQUOISE PLUS one color of choice!

I chose a pretty red patterned paper to compliment all my black and turquoise.  This is a very "scrappy" type card for me but I had a BLAST w/ all the different trims and chipboard accent by My Mind's Eye.  I am lovin' all the birdies out there!

The sentiment is from the "Because of You" set and I just adore it-all the sentiments in there are so fun, whimsical and yet, SUPER versatile!

A Farm Fresh New Year & Farm Fresh Furball!...

...and our first FFF of 2011 at The Greeting Farm!

Whew!  It has been an exciting week here on the Farm...The January releases went up for sale, Marie had her adorable Lily Anya, and the Anya I'm using on my card today was given as a free gift to all of our fabulous TGF friends!  Sweet!

I am running on VERY little sleep right now so I'm not sure I adore my card, in fact I really don't like the way it came out, sadly.  I sure do adore New Year's Anya, though! :)   She is darling, isn't she?    I used some leftover "Snow Day" paper from the Crate paper 6x6 stack (one of my goals is to not BUY until I am done using all of my papers and well, I will not be buying for a while, trust me.  This ONLY goes for paper though, haha ;)  

This week's FFF Challenge is a sketch by our AMAZING and talented DT mate, Mercy Kerin.  Here's the sketch:

Well, I can tell you that we have been VERY busy at the Diedrich abode.  After coming back from a trip to see our favorite cousins over New Year's eve weekend, we returned full-speed to school starting again.  Today is my ELEVENTH wedding anniversary...I am so excited about that too- love ya, babe!  For all my FB friends who are friends w/ my DH too-you know what a great guy I have.  We are so lucky...AND, to ring in the new year and our ELEVEN year celebration-we have a BRAND new addition to our family.   Introducing:

Kekipu Sparklepuff Diedrich

(pronounced Kee-kih-poo...Kekipu means "REBEL" in Hawaiian :)

Born November 8th, 2010 (just 8 weeks old)

Weight at Vet appt. yesterday, ONE pound, ONE ounce ;)

and yep, Ava TOTALLY came up w/ her middle name, and the boys have shortened it to "Keeks" which makes me laugh, hee hee ;)

She has DEFINITELY been keeping us busy, but smiling ear to ear and is the sweetest little thing EVER!  I definitely feel like a parent of a newborn-in fact, Marie and I were laughing saying we can chat during 2am feeds and in my case, letting the pup out at 2am when she wakes up crying, LOL!   So far she has been very good and we just ADORE her-the kids are head over heels and are very protective over her and are fighting over who gets to do what for her.  Hopefully that won't wear off any time soon, LOL!

Good morning, everyone!

There is LOVE, LOVE, LOVE in the air today over on the TGF Blog as we are ringing in New Year's eve with a Farm Fresh Friday challenge and PREVIEW of the new Anya/Ian set from The Greeting Farm: " I Do..."

Funny, LOTS of people get engaged on New Year's eve which I think is so fun and appropriate, too- starting off the New Year with someone you love is the BEST don't you think?   Well, Anya thinks so too...and to show you HOW excited she is...we'll just have to introduce the BRAND NEW Wedding set, "I DO:"

Wrappin' up the week w/ some Christmas treats...

Hey everyone!

Well, it's here!   MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE!

Looking back on this year, boy do I have a lot to celebrate.   It's been a FANTASTIC 2010 and I can only hope that 2011 is even BETTER!

Before we all disperse to our family and friends for these blessed next few days, I have my contribution to The Greeting Farm's "Hostess with the Mostest" contest.   Here is my hostess gift, for my Mom with cookies made by the kids:

Our favorite Christmas cookies are the traditional cookie press cookies and the kids went WILD baking them for the 2nd time this season.  We had SUCH a blast last night sprinkling and SAMPLING lol..what a fun family activity!  The tag is from the "Merry Tags" set by TGF.  The stickers and paper are Echo Park "Wintertime" collection and the Mini Bakery Bag is from Taylored Expressions :)

I'm excited to share a lot of fun things w you in 2011...I have a new team coming up as I've been asked to design for The Twinery for 2011 and I'm thrilled about that!   I am hoping to renew my Key Ingredients term as I ADORE Taylor and her wonderful kits and will let you know more about that soon, too :)  I will be amping things up at The Greeting Farm , and will also be taking on more excitement with Unity Stamp Co. as they are going to be BOOMING in 2011.

On a personal note, I will continue to write, erase, edit, erase, and write before I can finally put the finishing touches on my book as it goes to publishing houses for the 110573639 rejections I will probably get before someone finally takes a leap of faith (I hope?).   I am preparing for some traveling in the new year as well and I will have TONS of exciting things to share.

Today for Farm Fresh Friday we are Lettin' it SNOW on the Farm!

Simply stated, just add SOME sort of snow theme to your card-it can be snowflakes, liquid applique, glitter, tinsel, flower soft, etc-just so we can see a snowflake or two on your project!  One lucky winner will take home the "Fuzzy Wuzzy" 4x6 Oliver & Amelia set for playing along!

I used the new CHEEKY CHERRY PIE, just released this past Wed. at The Greeting Farm, for my card which was TOTALLY different from what I was going to do to begin with, but I like how it turned out :)  I LOVE the "Tinsel and Twig" line from The Girls' Paperie and these pre-made crepe paper and chipboard snowflakes were to die for-had to have 'em!
