Tiny Dancer...

Hey, everyone!

"Those Who do not hear the music, think the Dancers' Mad..."

Hey everyone! Summer is in full swing everywhere you look. And that means turnin' up the volume and singin' along with the music! Our very own Linda wants us to let the music inspire us over at The Ribbon Carousel Challenge today!

I was totally inspired by this week's challenge (LOVE IT, Linda!) so I printed out the BRAND NEW Ballerina Anya digi (she's a brand new version and SUPER cute!) from The Greeting Farm- I couldn't wait to color her and set her to music!  Here she is in all her cuteness:

I used some delicious Maya Road rose trim on my card today along with Ballerina :)  DP is Girls Paperie and also Crate Paper "Emma's Shoppe".  I love all the pink and rose-perfect for this tiny dancer!

Ready to Deconstruct?...

...or, at least, ya ready to get SKETCHY?

Hooray!  I know *I* am!  We are finally taking off at the DECONSTRUCTED SKETCH and today is our very first challenge!

Birthday Cutie Patootie...

Hi there!

I am stamping JUST for FUN today, can you believe it?  Ok, you know what?  I don't know that I like that term...because I ALWAYS have fun stamping, LOL!    And actually, this is for a DT card too-my first card to be featured on The Twinery Blog!  You've probably seen me sneaking a ton of their awesome twine in on my cards these last few weeks, as I'm pretty much smitten w/ the stuff!  I'm so excited to be a part of The Twinery's DT for 2011 and I'll be bringing lots more to you to see that I know you'll be 'strung out' on, too, hee hee.

My friend Lori Boyd has had her own digi line, "BY Lori Designs" for a while now, and I do adore her images.  But when I saw that her younger daughter, Hannah had started her OWN line of digis (for someone so young she is UBER talented!), I just couldn't wait to go buy one in support of her!  This is "Hazel", from Hannah's line called "Bug and Roo"  *ok, how CUTE is that name btw?!

Isn't she CUTE as can be?!  I LOVE this image and will definitely be using her again!  I used PINK SORBET Twinery twine for this project and you'll be able to see it as well as some other FABULOUS projects on the Twinery Blog in just a bit!  Be on the lookout for it and please tell them Jess sent you if you are planning on ordering-it's a GREAT deal and you get a TON of Baker's Twine!

BLAZIN' by on a Broomstick for MTSC...

Hey all!

As promised I'm back with another preview of the new Halloween Digis from The Greeting Farm, all of which will be released tomorrow, the 15th!

Today' I'm using this SUPER adorable witch (I think she's my fave of the new digis, to be honest) and decided to go hard-core with the green skin and purple hair.  As bad-a#@ as she looks, she's still just too darn cute, RIGHT?   I can't wait for her to be released tomorrow along with the SPOOKTACULAR lineup she's being released with!

Today's Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge was perfect to showcase this little cutie:

I used some more Matilda paper from Cosmo Cricket and colored her up using my Copics-LOVE my C-greys.  They are such a great go-to color for dark greys and black shading.   I am going to need refills for them soon!

A SPOOKtacular Preview on Mystery Monday...

Mercy-ful heavens what a whirlwind few weeks!...

Hi everyone!

Miss me?  LOL, I guess it hasn't been THAT long since I posted but I feel like it has!  Ever since CHA and dealing w/ my computer woes I've just felt like a mess!

I'm back today with a card I started coloring while my friend-the incredible amazing Jen Shults was here visiting me this past weekend!   We had a BLAST!  I am utterly and totally exhausted after CHA, the 1st week of school, and our awesome visit but man was it FUN!  We even drove down to Knoxville one day to meet up w/ another stamping friend, Peggy McCurry!

Some of the highlights of our visit included making homemade Gino's Pizza with the kiddos, shopping at the Apple store :), comparing scrapbooking/stamping supplies and laughing at how different our tastes are (LOVE that!), singing in the car, and coloring together!   It really was fun :)

Anyway, today is Tuesday which means its time for another one of Mercy's brilliant sketches!   Here is MTSC86:

My card today uses one of Jen's Wildflower Kid images, Poppy Window.  Isn't she pretty?  I colored her up to match the My Mind's Eye paper I have been itching to open up!  I LOVE this "Bloom and Grow" line of paper and finally got my hands on some! Here is the card:

Digi-Try Something New?

Hello everyone!

It's time for another Farm Fresh Friday challenge at The Greeting Farm and this week we are trying a new (or newly favorite ;) technique while using a DIGITAL stamp from the TGF Collection!  This was a great challenge that Melyssa blogged about today on the TGF Blog and we hope you'll play along!

I discovered ribbon pleating a few months back and well, it's my fave ;)  LOVE it!  I used the cute HG Classy stamp and made a SUPER simple layout so as to showcase the ribbon pleating as the 'main event'.   I use glue dots to hold my ribbon down when I don't want to bust out the sewing machine or when I don't want stitching on the ribbon!

Hello everyone!

Today we have a fun and rather rebellious challenge for all of you out there in WONDERLAND! We start out with a lovely sketch by Sammi for Oh, Alice:

The catch? You must RE-CREATE this sketch somehow. Switch out a panel or two, flip on its side, upside down, etc. There are no rules except to break them, meaning you can't follow the sketch exactly! Makes no sense right? GOOD. :)

Today we also are thrilled to announce another wonderful sponsorship from SPESCH DESIGNER STAMPS! 

For my card today, I used the "Queen of Hearts" digital stamp.  I colored her w/ my Copics using pretty non-traditional colors but I loved this paper so much it worked out well ;)  I stitched around the two triangles of different DP and BROKE THE RULES by placing the three Webster's Pages "Bloomers" along the side of the image instead of on top.  I also left out the other layer next to the main image panel.  Whoa, rebel, slow down!  LOL!   I had fun and used StazOn for the sentiment so it would stay on the glittery DP :)

Butterflies are DEFINITELY part of my much-ness, so I hope I did this challenge justice.  As for crafting muchness, I rarely make ANYTHING w/out stitching so I added that as well as the butterflies.  Enjoy!

CHAPTER 13: Mushroom Inspiration...

A Helping Hand...

Hello everyone and Happy Monday.   I hope for those of you celebrating Mother's Day that you had the best day ever and for everyone else, hope you had a great weekend!

I have been looking forward to this post and today ALL WEEKEND.

As many of you know, I have been really affected by a lot that I've seen, heard, and experienced since the flooding here in Nashville last weekend.   I couldn't have said it better in my own words after watching this VERY touching, yet disturbing video that I posted here on my blog last week.  I've been doing my best to gather some clothing and personal items from the neighborhood here and trying to volunteer some of my time, but I still don't feel like I'm doing "enough".

For all of these reasons, I can't even tell you how absolutely TOUCHED I was when I got an email over the weekend from my friends Jen Shults and Betty Roberts asking me if I could  get "a few stampers" together to help promote a new digi stamp set in which 100% of the proceeds will be DONATED to the Nashville Flood Relief Fund.

Are you KIDDING ME?   Of course I was in.   What I am even more honored to tell you next is that I contacted some of my friends and stamping IDOLS and you know what?  They were ALL in.  Not only did they say YES, this all came together extremely quickly and it is with great joy that I present you:

Here is my card today, using this adorable little Wildflower Patch Kid and I LOVE the sentiment "The best place to find a helping hand is at the end of your arm..."
