Mercy-ful heavens what a whirlwind few weeks!...

Hi everyone!

Miss me?  LOL, I guess it hasn't been THAT long since I posted but I feel like it has!  Ever since CHA and dealing w/ my computer woes I've just felt like a mess!

I'm back today with a card I started coloring while my friend-the incredible amazing Jen Shults was here visiting me this past weekend!   We had a BLAST!  I am utterly and totally exhausted after CHA, the 1st week of school, and our awesome visit but man was it FUN!  We even drove down to Knoxville one day to meet up w/ another stamping friend, Peggy McCurry!

Some of the highlights of our visit included making homemade Gino's Pizza with the kiddos, shopping at the Apple store :), comparing scrapbooking/stamping supplies and laughing at how different our tastes are (LOVE that!), singing in the car, and coloring together!   It really was fun :)

Anyway, today is Tuesday which means its time for another one of Mercy's brilliant sketches!   Here is MTSC86:

My card today uses one of Jen's Wildflower Kid images, Poppy Window.  Isn't she pretty?  I colored her up to match the My Mind's Eye paper I have been itching to open up!  I LOVE this "Bloom and Grow" line of paper and finally got my hands on some! Here is the card:

Nothin' but BLUE SKIES, baby!...

Well, HI there!

Hope you are all doing well on this fun and busy Tuesday.   It occurred to me that this is the last week I have to get the kids school supplies purchased and make sure everyone's jeans still touch their heels so I'm a little frazzled!  The kids go back to school here on Aug. 2nd and I'll be gone the week before so gotta do it all this week!

I'm also expecting some VERY fun visitors at the end of this week (thurs) so this week is a busy stamping week for me too!  Can't wait to see some family and enjoy the next few days!

A little MERCY is what Nashville needs...

Hey everyone!

I'm back and I'm OH SO GRATEFUL for the amazing women who offered their time and efforts to help out with the "A HELPING HAND" digital stamp set in which 100% of the proceeds are going to help the Red Cross Relief Fund for the Nashville Flood.

Today I am back with another image from this set and to thank you for considering purchasing this set to help the thousands of people here in middle Tennessee that really need your help.  You can view a really remarkable and poignant video of not just the devastation, but the wonderful people of Nashville HERE.

Today is also Mercy's Tuesday sketch Challenge and OF COURSE when my dear friend Mercy heard about the opportunity to help with this release, she was all over it!   Here is this week's sketch:

My card today uses this adorable image from the "A Helping Hand" set, now available at the Wildflower Patch store.   "A Helping Hand" is a collaboration between Jen Shults of Wildflower Patch Stamps and our friend Betty Roberts of Simply Betty, a NEW stamp line coming June 1st!   The darling girlie I'm using is drawn by Betty.

A Helping Hand...

Hello everyone and Happy Monday.   I hope for those of you celebrating Mother's Day that you had the best day ever and for everyone else, hope you had a great weekend!

I have been looking forward to this post and today ALL WEEKEND.

As many of you know, I have been really affected by a lot that I've seen, heard, and experienced since the flooding here in Nashville last weekend.   I couldn't have said it better in my own words after watching this VERY touching, yet disturbing video that I posted here on my blog last week.  I've been doing my best to gather some clothing and personal items from the neighborhood here and trying to volunteer some of my time, but I still don't feel like I'm doing "enough".

For all of these reasons, I can't even tell you how absolutely TOUCHED I was when I got an email over the weekend from my friends Jen Shults and Betty Roberts asking me if I could  get "a few stampers" together to help promote a new digi stamp set in which 100% of the proceeds will be DONATED to the Nashville Flood Relief Fund.

Are you KIDDING ME?   Of course I was in.   What I am even more honored to tell you next is that I contacted some of my friends and stamping IDOLS and you know what?  They were ALL in.  Not only did they say YES, this all came together extremely quickly and it is with great joy that I present you:

A HELPING HAND

Here is my card today, using this adorable little Wildflower Patch Kid and I LOVE the sentiment "The best place to find a helping hand is at the end of your arm..."

" A Helping Hand"  is designed by Jen Shults, owner/illustrator of Wildflower Patch Kids digital Stamps, and Betty Roberts of Simply Betty, a new stamp line debuting June 1st.  I'll be back tomorrow with one of Betty's adorable images, today I'm using Jen's and when I saw this little guy with his shovel, all ready to help, it brought a tear to my eye!

Oh, Alice....I'm CRAZY for Spring...

WHOOOOOOOO RRRRRRRRRRR YOUUUUUUUU?

This was not an encouraging opening for a conversation. Alice replied, rather shyly, "I--I hardly know, sir, just at present-- at least I know who I WAS when I got up this morning, but I think I must have been changed several times since then."

Well, I guess I'm a "Wild One" today too...cuz I am extremely excited to be helping out my awesomely talented friend Jen Shults today as a special Guest over at the WILDflower Patch!

Another Flippin' Sketch...

Yeah, I flipped it...again!   Haha I just can't help it, I'm sorry!

It's a new month and that means we say hello to our JANUARY GUEST MUSE, Vicki Burdick!  I am relatively new to Vicki's blog and when I went to visit the other day to check out our new Guest I was FLOORED.. LOVE her wonderful eye for papers, embellies, and layouts.  It's going to be GREAT working with her...welcome VICKI!

I have another fun announcement today.  My bloggin' buddy JEN SHULTS has just launched her own store,  Wildflower Kids Stamps and I JUST adore them!  I was SO thrilled for her when I saw the news that her BRAND NEW STORE, The Wildflower Patch is now open and running!  Check out her AWESOMELY cute designs-you SO won't be disappointed.  Jen is having a DT CALL for her new store too-check out all the details HERE.

Today's card uses Violet, a brand new digi I purchased at The Wildflower Patch a few days ago.  I couldn't WAIT to color her!   Isn't she sweet!?   I used some of my favorite Prism paper from Die Cuts R Us in FROSTED TEAL and also some Papertrey DP and the new sentiment set, Signature Greetings that I got for Christmas from my cousin/BFF Kim Ross!  Thanks CUZ!
