I have a mini-set of 3x3 cards for for you today, using the GARDEN VARIETY set from Unity in collaboration with Cosmo Cricket:

She comes complete w/ a pocket on the inside to cut out and play w all her dresses.

How fun is that!  LOVE paper dolls :)  I will definitely be making more of these for some special little girls I know!

I have to say these sets are so super fun standing alone but to have the Cosmo Cricket paper to work with really makes them a dream to work with.   I LOVE the fun, whimsical look of these stamps and the cute sentiments that go with them!

Need a Cuddle?

Hey everyone,

{{{Thanks so much for bearing with me during all my double-and triple-posting this week, LOL.  If you could scroll down ONE more time for a Greeting Farm preview I would SO appreciate it!}}}

Seriously, there is nothing more rewarding than being here stamping with these GORGEOUS new stamps than knowing that you guys are appreciating it and wanting to see it!   Such an awesome place to come and share ideas and I hope you know how your ideas inspire me, too :)

Club Anya and Friends is back with ANOTHER ANYA!   We listened, and know you guys missed her!  So without further adieu, get comfy and prepare to meet this little cutie:

CUDDLE ANYA!

Seriously could she BE any sweeter?  (haha every time I say that w/ the emphasis on the "BE" I think of Chandler and Joey from Friends, LOL!  I KNOW you hear it, too!)

Ok, seriously  though...start counting the days because Cuddle is coming on May 1st to The Greeting Farm!  What's more?  Check out the Club Anya and Friends Blog because SOMEONE has Cuddle Anya hidden as a prize today.  Will YOU be the winner?

You'll only find out if you visit:

Thanks again and I'll see you tomorrow for a Farm Fresh Friday that has well...a bit of a dark side...and I am LOVING iT!!!!!

Hug someone today...maybe time for a Cuddle?  I'm thinkin' yeah...I'm kinda exhausted, LOL!

Grandma's are the BEST...

Hello, everyone!

Thanks so much for staying so long today and hanging out with me for all three of my posts today.    I have one more fun PREVIEW from The Greeting Farm to share!   It's a really cute, folksy set, nothing like we've done before.   We're introducing the TGF "Grandparents", lovingly named "Flo" and "Joe"!

There's a TON going on over at the TGF Blog today too-DT announcements, Scrapbook Challenges, Previews...whew!  My head is spinning...and it's only the beginning!

I want to extend a HUGE congrats and welcome to MERCY KERIN!   Mercy will be joining TGF as an official "FARMER" after serving as Gardener and also as a member of our Critter Crew for a few months as well.    Her first official Preview as a Farmer is TODAY so please stop by her blog and wish her a warm welcome!

I have to laugh at my card today...if you have been to my blog a time or two, even as recently as Tuesday this past week, I posted a picture of my Mom.  She's SO beautiful and not that little Flo here isn't but my mom looks SO young.    I just don't picture her ever as that "little granny" with her apron and rolling pin, LOL.   She does love to bake, but haha, alas, I can't say that this is the kind of card my kids would normally give my Mom.    I have a feeling that I'm gonna get a reaction out of her if and when they DO give this to her, LOL!

At any rate though, Flo is just TOO sweet!  I loved this Cherry Delicious retro paper from Sassafrass so much I knew just who I wanted to use it when Marie debuted this cute new set!

Be sure to check out the rest of the Farmer's today and check out their previews, as well as the TGF Scrapbook DT!  It's Thursday and time for another FAB Challenge:

Thanks everyone!

Over the river and through the woods....

So, are you guys havin' a JOLLY good time on our UNITY SCS Forum this week so far?  What games have you played?  Challenges entered?  Prizes won, maybe? ;)

Today there is a SUPER fun "Guess Which DT Member Created This" card game-I'm tellin' ya, I was stumped!  It's a riot-go check it out!   Be sure to check out the "DT Trivia" game too to see how well YOU know some of us crazy chicks ;)  And now...for what you're probably here for.... ;)

We have another new set to preview today called Merry, Merry, Merry!  I have to admit that while I created this card for you (using last week's SCS Sketch Challenge) in the 85 degree sunshine, it was a LITTLE hard to get into that Christmas Spirit but man, could you get TONS done if you started this time of year, right?!

This adorable little kit is going to be available on Thursday, the 29th during our 2 year ANNIVERSARY HIP HOP and release party, and what a sweet little set it is!

There's a lot more Merry coming your way today...be sure to visit my girl Jimmi Jam..she's the next stop on the hop!

Spring Fleur...

Hey everyone, I'm back!

Thank you so much for scrolling down today to SPRING into the PREVIEW WEEK at CLUB ANYA & Friends with me!

Today also happens to be Whimsical Wednesday and another installment of your friendly DIEDRICH DARE!  This week, check out our challenge as we DARE you to make a SPRING CARD!  And hey, what better way to satisfy your whimsy than with a fresh and fun FLEUR....what, you ask?  Rather...WHO?!

Introducing....

FLEUR ANYA!

Ok, guys, I gotta admit...2nd to Flutter she's my new FAVE!  Look how adorable this little sweetie is!!!   I absolutely squealed in delight when Marie emailed her to me a few months ago and it's been killing me not to share!

Fleur will be available on Saturday, May 1st at The Greeting Farm and you will DEFINITELY want to stop by Club Anya and Friends today as we are giving away little Miss FLEUR to one lucky commenter!  Who's blog will it be hidden on?   Hmmmm, only Random.org knows for sure, but be sure to visit:

..and our NEW MAY GUEST DESIGNER, RACHEL SCHNEIDER!

I used the new "Thrift Shop" DP from October Afternoon and some Prism cardstock to make this card.  This new DP is one of my fave stacks in a long time.  I love it!  It's totally springy and those flowers couldn't be more perfect for her beautiful hairdress :)   Speaking of Spring, be sure to check out the DARE BLOG and the Daredevils to see how they SPRUNG into action this week:

Well, that's it for me but I have more up my sleeve for you tomorrow!  Thanks to Marie for sponsoring the Diedrich Dare this month, too!

Don't forget to stop and smell the FLOWERS...
Hugs, Jess ;)xoxo

The "Little Black Dress"...oh, what a NIGHT!

Today I have a card using Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge and a REALLY fun story behind my card!

Here's the sketch:

And here's my card:

Isn't little Stella Sprout from The Greeting Farm sporting that perfect "little black dress"?   I made this card as a thank you.   Something very exciting took place last night, but I'll give you a little background first.

One of my favorite places to browse besides my LSS is the Bookstore.  I LOVE bookstores.  There is something so gratifying about the smell, look, and feel of a new book let alone what's inside the covers.  Anyway, a few weeks ago, I was browsing through the new/bestsellers and came across this book:

I thought it was cute and really liked the theme.  I somehow got distracted and set it aside.   A few night's later, on my local news, I saw a featured segment on the book and the book's author, Jordan Christy, who happened to be a local Nashville resident and thought, darn it, I should've gotten it.  Suffering from NON-buyer's remorse, haha, I went out and picked up the book the day or two after, along with Eat, Pray Love, the book I was looking for when I found Jordan's.

I was visiting Jordan's website and discussing some things with Marie, my boss at TGF, when we both noticed that Jordan was having a "True Hepburn" essay contest.  This is something I feel really strongly about especially for our younger, impressionable girls not to act like a "Paris Hilton" or "Snookie" from Jersey shore.  ICK!   Anyway, Marie gave me the nudge to submit my entry and the deadline came and went and I didn't hear anything...oh well, was still super fun to write and submit.  You probably aren't surprised when I tell you I like to write...and ramble, LOL!

To my surprise, a few weeks later, I got an email from Jordan saying that I had WON the essay contest and that along with a BEAUTIFUL prize package ( I got some yummy scented soaps, a three-disc Audrey Hepburn DVD collection AND a Massage gift certificate-LOVE that!), I also won a speaking engagement.  Jordan said she'd come speak at my local book club, church group, etc.   I quickly had an idea for her to come talk to my daughters class-what a wonderful role model for young girls!  I wanted to make sure that she could do it though, and also that the school would allow it.

Well, not only did they ALLOW it, but they went ALL OUT!   We created a "Dinner at Tiffany's" theme, a Mother/Daughter event based on Breakfast at Tiffany's and Jordan's book.   The principal, assistant Principal and staff dressed up in AMAZING outfits, ball gowns, and there were several Audrey-esque "little black dresses".
Our adorable Principal and Asst. Principal..how cute are they?!?

These women REALLY know how to throw a last-minute party together, can I tell ya?  We had dinner catered.  Chicken parmesan, pasta, yummy roasted veggies and salad.  Chocolate cake for dessert. It was amazing.  Check out the adorable centerpieces that were created based on Tiffany & Co. boxes:

We got to sit with Jordan, my Mom came, too, and there were a little over 100 people there.   Jordan and Madelynn talked about Madelynn's love of reading and writing and Madelynn got to tell her that she just attended the Tennessee Young Author's Conference this past March.  What a role model for my girl!  After dinner it was time for Jordan to speak:

She is just the cutest thing and had such a wonderful message for the girls.  That they have something that most girls don't have: a clean slate.  Make good choices.  Dress and act appropriately.  Choose your friends wisely...and DON'T ever compromise your values for anyone, especially a boy.   It was age-appropriate, a little different from her book (being that her book is geared toward an older crowd)..it was just perfect.

After Jordan spoke it was time for pictures and book signing!   HOW cool is that?!?!  The school did a beautiful job and were very grateful that I shared my prize with them...are you kidding?  I couldn't think of a BETTER reason.  It was wonderful.  I am SO grateful to Jordan for the gift she gave 53 girls last night, and their mothers, too.  Here's a photo of my Mom, me and my DD after a really touching candle lighting ceremony, based on the quote Jordan uses at the end of her book...a quote by Eleanor Roosevelt:
"It's better to light a candle than curse the darkness..."

So now, long story longer, you know why I made this card as a thank you to Jordan, using her book cover as the inspiration, for the wonderful gift of her time and talents!

Be sure to check out the rest of Mercy's Muses today-links are on my sidebar.  Thanks for coming by!  I've been BURSTING to tell you guys about this exciting event after winning the contest and thanks for letting me share it with you!  It was definitely a night to remember!

Have a FABULOUS evening,
Jess ;) xoxo

"Pick the day. Enjoy it -to the hilt. The day as it comes. People as they come... The past, I think, has helped me appreciate the present - and I don't want to spoil any of it by fretting about the future.

Unity is turning TWO...and that has me feelin' fizzy!...

Hey everyone!

I am SO excited!   Feelin' kinda fizzy, actually ;)  Why?  Because TODAY is DAY ONE of our week-long ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION at UNITY STAMP CO!  That's right!  Unity is TURNING TWO and we have LOTS of festivities going on!  ALL WEEK LONG!

In addition to some fabulous daily festivities over on our SCS Forum, including games, challenges, and oh yeah, TONS of PRIZES?!?!, Unity will be debuting LOTS of new RUBBAH!   All leading up to our HIP HOP celebration on THURSDAY, April 29th, with the new releases available including the THREE new Cosmo Cricket sets...just WAIT until you see!

I have a fun card for you today using a new set called "Fizzy Feelings".   It's a little bit retro and a LOT of adorable!   I love the sentiments too.  Totally reminds me of the old fashioned Coke Bottles and 50's soda fountains and the font is super fun, too!

I used the Quite Contrary line of DP and some vintage eyelet (it was my Gram's, how fun is that?!) to create this card and I'm pretty happy with the color combo and how it came out even though it wasn't what I originally had in mind...I guess thats what happens when another idea just 'POPS' into your head, huh?  ;)

I will be back on Wednesday with ANOTHER Unity preview; tomorrow for another fun bit of news and a challenge.   Today though, there is LOTS of fun to be had so be sure to stop by the UNITY blog, the SCS Forum, and this talented girlie..JIMMI!  She's the next stop on the hop!
Next Blog

Before I leave you today, I have to share something I ordered from my sweet friend Eryn.   Eryn works at UNITY and is a part of the {Ippity} DT and one of the most talented bloggers I know.  If you are not following her, well...you gotta!   She's also as cute and sweet as can be.   And did I mention TALENTED?!?!  I think I did ;)  Check out these awesome necklaces she makes:

Love them?  Well, good news!  Eryn is now SELLING her Unity/Ippity creations and I would love for you to check them out!  Be sure to visit her BLOG for all the details.  I can't wait to get mine!

Warm and 'fizzy' feelings to you....

Chapter 10: Queen of Tarts...

"On this the White Rabbit blew three blasts on the trumpet,
and then unrolled the parchment scroll,
and read as follows:

"The Queen of Hearts, she made some tarts,
All on a summer day:
The Knave of Hearts, he stole those tarts,
And took them quite away!"

Uh ohhhhhhh...someone has stolen the Queen's Tarts! That's a no-no! We need to restore the sweetness back to Wonderland, don't you agree? That means it's time for a sweet treat here... or maybe a mushroom or two? I think I saw one floating around here that said "Eat Me" ;)

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to incorporate FOOD into this week's project! Everyone loves a little treat, right?

My card today uses this yummy strawberry paper and the new HG Classy digi stamp from The Greeting Farm.  Isn't she ADORABLY alice-ish?

We have ANOTHER TREAT for you today... and it's a rather LARGE and generous portion!

We are thrilled to welcome...

as our sponsor this week!

The fabulous prize? A whopping $25 Gift Certificate to the Clear and Simple Stamps Store! We are so excited and grateful and can't wait to see what delectable delights YOU come up with... and also to see who the random winner will be!

Please stop the Oh, ALICE blog and check out all the details as this is a HUGE prize and you guys won't want to miss out on it!   Be sure to stop by our wonderfully TWISTED Tea party girls too:

Thanks and have a weekend full of MUCHNESS!

Farm Fresh Friday is Goin' Green...

Hey everyone!

Thanks so much for coming by today and for all the wonderful comments you left me during Hip Hop!   Unfortunately though, some Spammers have decided to leave me some "love" lately too and sadly, I need to turn on my comment verification for a while.  Sorry, guys!  I hope you'll still take the time to visit even though I know it's a pain!

Well, today over at The Greeting Farm we are GOING GREEN for Farm Fresh Friday!  That's right!  This week's challenge? Use the color green, recycled products, grass, LOL...whatever you feel GETS YOUR GREEN on!

I used the adorable Oliver and Amelia "Buddies" set.   This little cutie reminds me SO much of my boys, particularly Jack since he's the animal lover in the family.  He's been begging to get another dog lately...I think with 4 kids, 2 dogs, and all we have going on right now that's a BIT of a stretch...maybe it's time for a hamster?  HA!  Somehow i think that would be worse, LOL!

All the products and embellies except for my TGF stamp are from my girl Amy over at The Caffeinated Cropper.  I purchased her "Beez Kneeez" kit and I LOVE it.  So much product there are TONS of cards I still can make w/ this kit!  She's actually having a blog hop today for her NEW kit, "A Cherry on Top".  Check it out HERE!

Be sure to check out the TGF Blog today to see the other "Green" creations and I'll see you back here tomorrow for another fun Oh, Alice! Challenge.  In the meantime, I think we are going to see Disney's OCEANS today.  Yay!   It took 4 years to make the movie and the footage/previews I have seen are so beautiful!  Will be a GREAT learning experience for the kids and a bonding experience over popcorn for all of us, too :)

Have a great one, guys!
Live, love, laugh, and smile,
Jess ;)  xoxo

DARE to grab some {IPPITY}...and hurry! There's a SALE!...

Hey everyone!  Happy Wednesday!

It's been such a wonderful week I feel like I've wanted to spend less and less time on the computer and more enjoying my family and the outdoors....we have had such GORGEOUS weather and it's just been such a fun few days.  Even mindless errands have turned into wonderful car rides, holding hands, jamming to the radio w/ the wind blowing in my hair...I just love it.

Don't worry though, I have QUITE a few things up my sleeve for you in the coming weeks.  In fact, I will be SO busy posting TGF and Unity I hope y'all don't get sick of me!  For now, I'll keep it short and sweet and I bring you DDSC32, this week's challenge at the Diedrich Dare:

I am not a huge fan of black cardstock...no particular reason, I just use dark brown as my "go-to" most of the time.  So this was definitely a challenge for me, but when I found Jen Del Muro's Sketch for you to Try from this past week, the card came easy-peasy!   I love Basic Grey Origins paper and when I looked at those colors I thought, Voila!

Isn't this quote from the "WHERE YOU SHOULD BE" Set by Ippity just wonderful?  I love this set, and actually have an IPPITY SALE this week!

Here's what I have LEFT IN STOCK before the new sets come in.    I am offering FREE SHIPPING (US ONLY) plus 10% off THIS WEEK ONLY (through Saturday, April 24th ONLY!)

*WHERE YOU SHOULD BE
*LOVE IN RETURN
*WHAT MATTERS MOST (only 1 left!) - SOLD OUT

Please see my IPPITY SALES PAGE for more details on how you can order.  In addition, each order comes with a FREE 6x6 stack of designer papers I've put together for a limited time!

Til tomorrow, I ask that you stop by the WONDERFUL "Daredevils" blogs too:
Thanks for stopping by and be sure to check out that Ippity sale...Leave a comment or email me w/ any questions and thank you SO much for you wonderful support!  You guys ROCK!

Live, Love, Laugh, and Smile...
Jessica ;) xoxo

Hi there...

...ok, so was yesterday not the most EERILY quiet Blogger day ever?  I even checked a few times to see if something was wrong!  LOL!   I did notice that on a few of my fellow stampers' blogs I was unable to leave comments during the day so I came back last night and wanted to share some love.  But not only that, it was just QUIET.  Weird.  In a good way, a little bit, cuz I got to "detach" from the internet a bit, and a bad way cuz I kinda missed my Bloggin' buds, too ;)

Well, today is Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge so I anticipate that there will be a few more of you around for her FABULOUS sketch, right?   Without further adieu feast your eyes on MTSC70:

Isn't it an awesome layout?  I love it.   Today's card was fun for me too because I got to use these SUPER cute new stamps from the Spring CC Designs kit from All That Scraps!  I stamped off some of these cuties the last time I went to visit my good friend Pammy.  She has SOOO many awesome ATS stamps, oh my!  I loved this little girl w/ the Cherries on her outfit and what a fab excuse to use what's left of my Cherry Hill DP from October Afternoon before i DIVE (and I mean DIVE!) in to my new Fly a Kite and Thrift Shop stacks! Have I MENTIONED my love affair with paper?!?  Oh dear me...

Also notable, my love affair with THIS:

Yep, folks.  Available at Costco for my fellow die-hards.  The Coffee People, Inc. actually, like, know who I am and tweet back and forth with me.  Is that cool?  Or do I have a "little" bit of a problem?!   I'll have to leave that up to you to decide...be gentle, LOL!

Well, be sure to check out the rest of the MUSES today including our SUPER fab Guest, Debbie Olson:

See you back here tomorrow with a colorful twist on the Diedrich Dare!

Live, love, laugh, and Smile,
Jessica ;) xoxo

You ALWAYS Measure Up...

Hello friends!

I'm back with another card using some of my new Stamping Bella stamps.  It was a super fun and busy weekend and I didn't have much time to stamp...in fact, I'll probably regret that a bit since I have a lot of projects coming up, but then again, there's no time better spent than with precious family and that's exactly what I did!   We had such a wonderful weekend getting out of the house, enjoying a few meals out which is definitely a treat even though I love to cook...and most of all, it was just SO nice to be together and enjoy the warmer weather too!

Anyway, in the little stamping time I did have, I thought about my 10 yr old DD and how she'll be in "TCAP" testing all week.   It's basically the assessment testing they do for the state.   I know I felt very strongly about it last year in Illinois, but it seems that here, at least, they are making a little more sense in the preparations, breaks, and snacks the kids will get during the week!

Anyway, I thought it would be nice for Madelynn to start the week w/ a little extra TLC in her lunchbox from Mom :)  And isn't this sentiment from Stamping Bella just PERFECT?   "You ALWAYS Measure Up".   Awwww...well isn't that the truth!   She is so smart and talented, that one...I know she'll ace them but hopefully have fun doing it, too!

Well, that's it for me for now!   I'm trying to decide if this sore throat is allergy or the beginnings of a cold...wish me luck, LOL!

Have a WONDERFUL Monday and I'll see you back here tomorrow for Mercy's Sketch Challenge!

Live, Love, Laugh and Smile,
Jess ;) xoxo

CHAPTER NINE: Somewhere in the Sunny, Sketchy Afternoon...

Alice in Wonderland, how do you get to Wonderland?
Over the hill or underland, or just behind the tree?
When clouds go rolling by, they roll away and leave the sky.
Where is the land beyond the eye, that people can not see, where can it be?
Where do stars go, where is the crescent moon?
They must be somewhere in the sunny afternoon.
Alice in Wonderland, where is the path to Wonderland?
Over the hill or here or there, I wonder where.

Hello! Hopefully it's a Sunny, Golden afternoon in your neck of Wonderland! We have a Sketch Challenge for you today brought to you by our very own TASHA! Here's the sketch:

And here's my take on it, flipped and I had to just go and replace that oval w/ the Labels 9 Nesties cuz welll... that's how I roll!   I was SO excited to break out my brand new "Scarlett the Tea Cup Girl" from Stamping Bella-is she not the CUTEST?   I also finally had an excuse to use my new Bloomers from Webster's Pages along w their new line of Lullaby DP.  I'm not sure i like how the Bloomers turned out but the colors match pretty well, I think... and Scarlett, aww she kills me she's so cute!

We hope you'll join us this week down the Rabbit Hole for this fun sketch. What's more? There is a VERY generous prize offering this week from The BEARY SCRAP! The Beary Scrap is a sweet one-stop shop for all of your papercrafting needs and they are offering an AMAZING $20 Gift Voucher for one lucky winner this week!

So let's get started! Finish that tea and get crafting! There's no time limit to use this FABULOUS sketch, but if you want to throw your MAD HAT into the ring for the $20 Gift Voucher, please link your entry by Friday, April 23rd at 8pm CST! The winner will be announced on Saturday, April 24th with our next Challenge! Good luck!
